Of course I was! The whole episode seemed to me a classic social media beat up, but who knows...

Re: Thanasi Kokkinakis

Kokk likes to talk and I'm sure he can trash talk but I've never heard anything racist out of his mouth. Nothing from officials or opponent....Fair chance it didn't happen.

Re: Thanasi Kokkinakis

Kokkinakis won 6-2 6-0 in round one of qualifying and now has to beat Venus to make the main draw of the Shenzhen Open. Two qualifying spots (out of four) play another qualifier and one plays a wild card so this is a great chance to get his first ATP win.

Problem is that one of the other likely qualifiers is Victor Troiki, not exactly an easy win! However, hopefully avoid that slot and I agree a great chance. Currently up 5-2 vs Venus.

Re: Thanasi Kokkinakis

This could indeed be his chance for a Zverev like run!

Actually quite literally looking at where he is placed in the draw - r1 vs Gerasimov, if gets through (and v good chance), Giraldo who went down to Zverev at Hamburg and has lost his last six matches, with particular bad runs against young guns - including Pospisil (twice) and Kyrgios.

Good luck and all power to the Kokk!

Re: Thanasi Kokkinakis

From where Kokkinakis is sitting, the qualifiers literally couldn't have be placed in a better way. EDIT = 1/12 shot: it didn't matter which way Troicki and Klizan were placed.

Re: Thanasi Kokkinakis

Nice first round win 7-6(3) 6-1. Next up Giraldo.
