Re: Don't be afraid of some dirt - U.S. Men's Claycourt Championship

I don't see any such headline on the main page, the sports page, or the "other" sports page (that has a headline about Robby, but the one you posted this morning).

Well anyway, I'm going to bed so I guess I'll have to wait til tomorrow to find out what happened.... but..... all I will say is....

It's on this page, along the side.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

You know if I hadn't seen pictures of Robby's g/f Josie I would think that idolwatcher1 was dating him. She seems to know him so well. She knew he had lost that Match before the score was even reported

Lee I'm totally speechless about all the loses he has had this year. The players he is getting beat by makes no sense at all

Re: Don't be afraid of some dirt - U.S. Men's Claycourt Championship

Wait!!! I just had an idea. Maybe Robby lost this badly on purpose. It could be that this is only a setup and next week he'll come out and surprise everyone with his elegant, spectacular and Rafael Nadal-like clay court game. No one will stop Robby Ginepri from dominating this year's clay court season and lifting up the Roland Garros trophy in June. You'll see!!!

Re: Don't be afraid of some dirt - U.S. Men's Claycourt Championship

...in our dreams...

I'm really not that surprised Robby lost... Mazarakis played 62 clay court matches last year... Robby played a whopping 4...and lost 3 of those...

Has anyone read the article in Tennis magazine that Brad Gilbert wrote about Robby's game? #3 had to do with Robby's ground strokes becoming too "predictable" to his opponents... giving them the edge in rallies, and allowing them to control the points and play their best...

I don't think Robby's the only one losing it mentally... the person he played doubles with this week I think is also losing it...

I read that article in Tennis Magazine. While Brad criticized certain aspects of Robby's game...he also compared him to Agassi. I think Robby needs to pry Brad from in front of the cameras and try to hire him as his new coach.
