Yummy! I must say he looks good But I don't think he is really 100% physically yet so I think it is going to be hard to know how far he can go in this Tournament? Where were you getting your scores?

Re: Robby in Paris!

To my surprise, Robby plays in the last match of the day tomorrow...which is interesting because he played during the first match today...You would've thought they'd put him at a more consistent schedule...hmm

Hey that is not a bad thing at all. In most Tournaments the night matches are considered to be the more "featured" matches. And beside it lets us have a more decent time to follow the match here in the U.S.

Re: Robby in Paris!

Today's a sad day ...Robby started out with a lead of 3-0...but didn't keep that lead. Robby wasn't showing the effort he normally shows (provoking numerous questions) and the momentum shifted Gaudio's way. I think Robby gave up mentally, but this may be due to him just not feeling well physically...I would love to hear the press conference after this match to get a better idea of what happened and why...

Well I had thought since it was a late Match I would be able to follow it, but that didn't turn out to be the case so all I got was the score. It was And this time I'm not trying to be mean or funny or anything like that. I honestly don't believe by just looking at that score that Robby was 100% right physically. So now all we can do is hope he takes care of himself and then works hard for next year

That doesn't quite even begin to describe it. I'd read some of what others said who saw it live (I wasn't home), so I decided to watch the replay of it and just...... whoa.

Honestly, he looked ok physically to me. He was moving ok and didn't look flushed or wiped out or anything. It was just so bizarre. He got off to the lead, then Gaudio started fighting and hitting his shots much better, and Robby just really died. He had 22 winners to 39 UEs for the match, and only won 26% of his second serve points. The commentators said some horrible things.

Hard not to feel for him watching the match, just nothing he did worked, it was just bizarre. I've seen it happen other players though, just nothing he did was working, the overheads were landing a few inches out, etc. At least he gets to go home and have a nice break now... but it's an unfortunate way to end such a good year for him.
