I met Robby's sister at Superset and she seemed nice. I met his father at the USO this year, and he is very cool. He is laid back, just like Robby, but a little bit less so. He was very charming and handled two of Robby's fans (my friend and I) quite well. He actually remembered me from Superset, which really surprised me because that was 2 years ago. He plans to travel with Robby a little bit more next year, so I strongly recommended that he come to California for San Jose, Indian Wells, and LA.

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Anyway, Andy risked falling out of good standing on the ATP if he flaked out of TMC without a good reason and a bona fide excuse. That would be like as much as a year suspension, effectively. He may not be Copernicus but he's not stupid either.

Copernicus is my homie.
We, like, study astronomy and stuff.
Like, how cool is that?

Whoa, hold on there, Galileo! Andy is not the center of the universe.

Copernicus was excommunicated, that's almost as bad as an ATP suspension.

oh SNAP.

Well, I guess Copernicus is no Copernicus then. But it's ok, Andy's not Plato either. But he's still smart enough to not risk a year of his career

I still haven't decided where I'd sit if I had the choice, lol, so I shouldn't have said that his parents didn't have the "best" seats, because everyone has their own preference, and I don't even know what mine is yet, but they blended in with everyone else, so I guess that's why I said that ...but the reason I brought up his parents is 1.) I didn't expect them to be shown during the highlights special, and 2.) curious me wants to know their feelings about all this...because they know Andy more than we do, and why he makes his decisions, and they can even give him direct advice, etc...

I need to consult with Magellan. I'm feeling a bit lost. I thought this was the Robby forum...

but Danielle can turn any discussion to her baby Vinny, I guess.

Dead Polish dudes have never made great tennis players. As Einstein would say, it's all relative!

oh I understand I just think they like being back and inconspicuous. I saw a show about Andy and some other juniors from when he was 17 and his mom said something that was like, we have to be the same for him whether he wins or loses. They just treat him like Andy, their son. So they sit where normal people would sit. It's just what they always do. They always go to Cincy too and are always shown on tv and are back somewhere. It's just what they do, they don't want to sit in the box with his team. I think it's kinda cool. They're just there to be supportive, not to get attention or whatever his dad is pretty active in his career, I'm sure since they were in Paris at least part of the tourney, that his dad gave some advice about something.

Re: Robby in Paris!

Are they Sicilians? There was a line in 'The Princess Bride' about Sicilians. I think it was never challenge one to a dare or something like that.

Princess Bride is the best movie ever, by the way. End.
