Unhappy Robby's woes continue - No Clay Court Champion Tournament in Houston in 2009

Well Robby is on the entry list for this Tournament. It would seem a good Tournament for an injury comeback.
Clay is easier on the body than the hard courts so that would help--now if Robby could only get his act together between his ears

Re: Men's U.S. Open Clay Championship - April, 2009

I just read on the tennis.com ticker that Robby has pulled out of Houston after having an emergency appendectomy.

I hope to see him back on the tour soon.

My goodness thanks for reporting that! I hadn't heard anything about it at all!!!! I don't know when a return can even be expected after surgery like that

It shouldn't keep him out THAT long, didn't Mauresmo have an emergency appendectomy a couple years ago? If I recall correctly (which I may well not be ) she was back after a few weeks.

Re: Robby's woes continue - No Clay Court Champion Tournament in Houston in 2009

There is no current information about Robby on his website. I did read a news story that said Robby and Sam Q. are in the field for The Tennis Hall of Fame Championships. However, that Tournament doesn't take place until July. But obviously Robby's surgery went well or there wouldn't be a current story about him being in a Tournament in the future--so that is good news I do wish more players' websites would be current with the news about them, but that doesn't seem to be the case very often
