SAP Open - San Jose - Feb. 2009

I have no idea where Robby plays next. Nor do I know where idolwatcher1 is. May be they ran off together

Re: Where are Robby and idolwatcher1?

I think San Jose is up next for Robby... probably training in Palm Springs right now.

Robby plays T. Widom tomorrow. Widom was a Q., so needless to say I know nothing about him.

Re: SAP Open - San Jose - Feb. 2009

robby doesn't play tomorrow, probably tuesday. Widom is almost 26 and this will only be his 6th ATP-level match of his career, soooooo.....

Re: SAP Open - San Jose - Feb. 2009

There must have been a mistake on the site I was looking at earlier. Because they had Robby's Match listed for today, but now it has been listed for tomorrow

Re: SAP Open - San Jose - Feb. 2009

Robby lost to Widom after winning the first set. I'm absolutely shocked. Must be one of the worst losses for Robby in a long long time.

Re: SAP Open - San Jose - Feb. 2009

No wonder nexts to no one comes here to post anymore. Robby defeated by a Q. in the 1st Rd of a Tournament Still I find it hard to believe that even idolwatcher1 has seemingly given up on him. It's not like her to just disappear. She and other posters know I can't post like I did in the past due to my wrist. But there aren't any cues around that I can find as to why she isn't posting anymore?

Maybe she's just busy or having computer trouble or something like that

Well, he seems to be crashing out early in tournaments so there isn't much for me to talk about. I suppose we could discuss how disappointed we are, but we've had plenty of time to trade theories about what's "wrong" or "off" about his game... no need to beat that dead horse any further.

That said... I'm still keeping tabs on him and hope he gets his butt in gear before he falls out of the top 100 (again).

Re: SAP Open - San Jose - Feb. 2009

He at less did get in some Doubles play, but was defeated today. I know we have "beat the dead horse", but it is so hard to figure out a player that was once #15 in the world and now can't even defeat a Q However, to give Widom credit he is still in the Tournament so he can't be all that bad of a player.
