Sorry for the somewhat premature thread but, as a Canberra born, I'm excited about Kyrgios.
Born: 27 Apr 1995
Birth place: Canberra, Australia
Plays: Right Handed (Double Handed Backhand)
Probably his biggest achievement to date came in doubles. He won (boys) Roland Garros and Wimbledon with Andrew Harris this year. His singles results have been coming along too, he recently won Canada (Grade 1) and made the quarters of Wimbledon and the US Open. Men's tour experience and results have been limited, but his showings have been respectable.
Already top 5 in juniors, he'll be one of the favourites for this year's u18 national championships and next year's junior Australian Open.
Yep will play Di Wu in the final. Looks like Bolt just failed to handle the spectacle. One of the problems the young South Aussie has. Kyrgios was immense and will hopefully turn around his loss to Wu last week.
Wu appears to be the player to beat this series, and Nick and Boy Westerhof are right up with him. Westerhof only lost to Wu both week and Nick has a chance to revenge last week's semi-final tomorrow.
This kid is the future of Tennis, him and Kokkanis (sp?). They contested the Aussie Open junior finals, and in the future they will face each other in the main tour finals.
Hope Nick wins his futures match today, any where I can watch?
Wu is unlikely to play any more Futures in the next few months. He enters China F1 and F2 only to pick up some ranking points in those weaker fields.
PS. His fans said "Nick seems quite popular there".
Could you Aussies tell me about Nick's plans for the next few weeks? He's not on the lists for the Asian challengers, so I assume he'll come back to Australia?
he's coming home after this future. He will spend a few days back here with the family, I presume we will be eating a lot of pancakes, waffles, and carby chinese food hahaha then he's off to Melbourne for a weeks prep before RG qualies.
Is he getting a WC for RG qualies? Because theirs no way he's in direct...
Can't argue about the scheduling, good solid but not too tough schedule, like the breaks at home for the young kid. As for getting too many points. That might be the most insane thing I have read on this form. If he keeps the hard work and training up hopefully the results will come. Certainly this 3 week stint has been a success in my book.

I wouldn't call it insane, but I am certainly of the opinion that the more points, the better. You're not in a worse position if you defend 40 from 300 than if you defend 0 from 260. But I imagine the concern was overplaying, which is good to avoid for a young and eager player.
