We are still waiting on the response for the application for the wildcard into Wimbledon.

WCs are not awarded yet. They're discussed here:

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

No doubt Nick is not the only person having a say in whether he plays Junior Slams or just progressing, as sponsors and management, such as Tennis Australia and IMG (presumed) will have input as to his schedule.
IMO plenty of time for both in Nick's schedule. Let him get the experience of playing with expectation and pressure of performing as the top seed in the Juniors, as well as being a free hitter in the Men's game.
Enjoy your tennis Nick.

That is an appalling result. Kerr in his mid 30's and very rarely plays singles, when he does it is just to get a hit. Always loses 1st round qualies unless he gets a bunny & then loses 2nd round. Now he beats our most promising young prospect who just got us all excited by winning a round at FO.
This makes no sense but whatever the situation Kyrgios should not have lost here.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

Now let me see, where does Kyrgios have grass court experience? AIS in Canberra, Homebush in Sydney, Brisbane Academy, Melbourne Centre?
Most of the Aussie youngsters are like cows on ice when they first play on grass, unless like Bryden Klein they have a grass court in the backyard, or grow up in country Victoria or South Australia. It is his second match on grass as a senior.
I agree though, I thought he would beat the veteran dubs spec Kerr, but you can't discount experience and good doubles serve and volley knowledge on grass. JP Smith yesterday lost to Bopanna, Melo won his qualies match, as did Zimonjic.
Kyrgios will bounce back, he just had a bad day at the office.

It does make sense, mate. His hamstring was bothering him after the Stepanek match, in my opinion he shouldn't have even played the junior RG. He is still injured, and has got some secondary injury due to compensating for the hamstring and trying to play through the injury. I spoke with him last night and he indicated there was a possibility he may be coming home shortly. "whatever the situation" - fkn wake up.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

At least now he gets to rest his injury for 2 whole weeks before Roehampton juniors starting 24th of June. It may be juniors, but Roehampton and boys' Wimbledon will be excellent grass court experience for Nick; 29 of the world's top 30 juniors have signed up for Roehampton and every member of the top 39 has put themselves down for Wimbledon.
