The ugly:
He was up 4-0 40-0 in the 5th set and had to retire due to severe cramping. Over 17 hours on court over 11 matches in the past nine days is too much.
And that is the wisdom of Tennis Australia.
At 18, not yet fully developed or strong enoughyet, and they expect him to go through that type of schedule...

Yeah, brutal schedule for anyone, especially someone who isn't even an adult yet. I'm sad he couldn't close out this one though as I'm pretty sure they all have tomorrow off.

Still, I think his performances since the beginning of June in singles, doubles and juniors might get him a look at a Brisbane qualifying wild card and another chance to impress.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

So no disciplinary action against Kyrios and Saville by TA depite them getting drunk at Bendigo and Saville puking all over the carpet. TA are so inconsistent

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

Not too bad. Duckworth is the last direct acceptance but played well here this year.

Kyrgios lost to Klahn 6-3 6-2 in the first round of Australian Open qualifying. Frankly I was disappointed with his performance.

Congratulations on becoming the No.1 ranked ITF Junior in the latest world rankings, after his excellent singles victory in Traralgon.
Well done Nick

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

That's awesome! He's following in the steps of Kubler and Saville (Tomic was never #1 in the junior rankings).

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

Kyrgios was unstoppable this event.

R1 d. Ilkel 6-3 -1
R2 d. Norrie 6-3 6-1
R3 d. Jasika 6-4 6-3
QF d. (7) Montgomery 6-1 6-1
SF d. (8) Baldi 6-2 6-1
F d. Kokkinakis 7-6 6-3

He clearly deserves the number one junior ranking.

Wouldn't you rather him follow in Tomic's footsteps? Kubler and Saville are both yet to really do anything on the mens tour. I'm hoping Nick can complete the junior grand slam, if he manages a win at the French I think he has a massive opportunity to do it. Come on Nick!

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

Well done Nick. Now for a graduated stransition to the Pro-Circuit, with more experience in the Junior Slams and not too much Pro-circuit action, to help that transition.

Yes but I mainly mentioned Kubler and Saville to show how well Australia has done in juniors these past few years. Now if he wins the junior Grand Slam he'll be following in the footsteps of Edberg and that sure isn't a bad thing!
