Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

That's a big challenge for Nick. I imagined he would make his debut in GS on a more suitable surface. Best of luck to him, the draw will be crucial.

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.

Yep John Millman is out with a shoulder injury. Nick Kyrgios gets the WC into main draw and Alex Bolt replaces Kyrgios in the qualy draw.

Great decision to have Nick get the MD WC. Hope Millman makes a speedy recovery though!

Mark Lenders banged your girlfriend, I'm sorry to tell you that mate.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

Great to see Nick getting the chance and TA backing a young player.
A few others apart from Ebden will be aggrieved by that decision by TA. Duckwrth has been a proven contender on clay and recent results in South America back that up and his current form is good.
He is dead unlucky in my opinion - better ranked and current form on clay - a no brainer. But good luck to Nick, and of course hope James qualifies.

Plays Stepanek first round. Not the worst draw on clay, should be a good experience. GL

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

I'm not suggesting Nick is at a similar stage of his development compared to Goffin last year, but Goffin played Stepanek in round one last year, and obviously won.

I don't expect a win, nor do I think he's got much of a chance, but he should be able to keep it competitive and more importantly, learn a lot on a surface that may not be his best.

I rate him as a massive chance. The unknown factor of him will help. He can win sets.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

The bottom half is playing first and Nick isn't on Sunday's order of play; strap yourselves in for tomorrow night (Australian time)! With any luck he'll be 1st or 2nd on court so I don't have to wait to near or past midnight to follow his match through live scores or stream.
