Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

8-match winning streak snapped. But he matched it with the world number 171 playing in his home country. 4-6 6-3 4-6 is a healthy scoreline and it's been another positive tournament for Nick. China F2 next week is also in Chengdu.

Nothing to be ashamed of. Good score line. I saw Di Wu play in Australia this year. He isn't a bad player.

Great effort today from him - 86 total points won each, nothing in it.

Failure is not falling down, but refusing to get back up.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

Good effort but as a Di Wu fan im just happy he won given how ordinary he's form has been this year . BTW I would like to see nick give the European futures a go I just think they are stronger and would help him a lot more than Asian futures

How many points were up for grabs last week and this? What is an f2? I see mention of 15k futures online and 10k

This page details how many ranking points a player receives for an exit at each round for each level of tournament.

As you will see, 10k Futures are the lowest level of men's ranking point tournament. Kyrgios is currently entered into the level just above that: 15k Futures. You will see in the table that he will receive 8 points for last week's semi-final loss and has guaranteed himself at least another 3 points with his showing this week. Note that Futures points go onto the rankings Monday week after the tournament week (typically 8 days after the final).

China F2 basically means the 2nd Futures event held in China this year. Last week was China F1 and next week will be China F3. See this page for more on Futures, and see all Futures events held this week by clicking on the 'men' tab on the right under 'current ITF tournaments'.

He got 8 last week and is on 3 this week. Needs another 10 to be within range of top 300. So if he wins or is a finalist, he gains that.

Plays Bolt (doubles partner - they lost in the semi-finals this week) for a place in his first Futures final.

Re: Nick Kyrgios - Yes He Canberra

Good job Nick. What I like most is his consistency. Is there any chance of him making the cut for RG qualies or will he need a QWC?
