ANDREW'S BOXING 06 THREAD!

07/01

Its a new year of boxing and its looking good. A few nice fights this weekend. Lets get off to a good start guys.

Judah vs. Baldomir

Baldomir is a tough guy. Whilst not on the same skill level a Judah, Baldomir is a tough boxer who will not mix it up with Judah imo. With Judah-Mayweather already been signed, Zab may have his mind on the future. Expect this fight to go the distance. But do not put your money on the over yet, alot of people who have not seen Baldomir will jump on the under. Just in the past day at pinnacle the over has gne from $1.945 to $2+. Expect this to get even higher as the fight draws closer.

TIP: OVER 8.5 rounds

Mormeck vs. Bell

This is quite an interesting unification fight. Mormeck is a slow starter and tires late but does throw ALOT of punches, he is a tough arkward fighter. Who last time out beat highly regarded Wayne Braithwaite. Mormeck is the best fighter in the cruiserweight division imo. Bell on the other hand is a chinny fighter who was lucky to keep his title last time out against journeyman Sebastian Rothmann, in this fight Rothmann had Bell out on his feet, in alot of trouble. In the 11th Bell caught him with a punch from no where and one. I expect a slow start from Mormeck with a TKO win in the middle rounds against the chinny Mormeck.

TIP: Mormeck KO

Re: ANDREW'S BOXING 06 THREAD!

Baldomir beat Judah is a massive upset but fight went the distance. Waited for good odds and got $2.39 on the over.

In another big upset Bell KO'd Mormeck in the 8th i believe. Mormeck pounded Bell, and to my surprise he took the punishment, waited until Mormeck tired and stopped him.

I will add to this thread throughout the year and hopefully win you guys some money.

RECORD: 1 - 1

+ 0.39 UNITS

Re: ANDREW'S BOXING 06 THREAD!

Bell was winning the fight on two scorecards, so i don't know where u got the Mccormak was beating him from???

Also Judah wasn't going to fight KT, he was lined up for Mayweather in April, but with this upset hopefully we can have to big fights, KT V Judah and Hatton v Mayweather!!

Yes and your point? I never said Mormeck was beating him. I said he "pounded him" which he did and Bell took it and stopped a tiring Mormeck.

Re: ANDREW'S BOXING 06 THREAD!

14/01

Not much to go on this weekend. Only one pretty big fight and thats Kessler v Lucas at super middleweight.

Lucas is getting on in age and Kessler is getting better with every fight. IMO he is the best 168 pounder out there and will have no trouble at all beating Lucas.

BETS: Big bet on Kessler to win @ $1.22

For a little value im going to put a bit of money on under 8 rounds at $2.45.

GL guys.

Re: ANDREW'S BOXING 06 THREAD!

your thoughts on a result by KO? Peronally I hate round betting purely because of how random it is and I can get a KO result either way for $1.80

Also would be interested to get your early thoughts on next weeks big showdown, pacman v morales....

keep up the solid work, we need some boxing discussion going here just for some variety and it is one sport i'm not completely across

Sorry BG i was a little short for time this afternoon and im a little drunk now but ill expand on what i posted.

Most aussies would know Kessler from when he fought Mundine. The guy is tough as nails who can throw them, but when need be can box, ala against Anthony. Like i mentioned i believe he is the best in the division.

Lucas is past it, you could see against against Danny Green. He didnt want to be there and Danny took him out early. Kessler was quoted as saying he wants to box Lucas due to his experience and power. But this is probably Kesslers biggest fight in front of his home crowd and i believe he will get to Lucas early and hurt him bad in about round 3 and take him out in the middle rounds.

There is NO WAY at all that Lucas can beat him. Value on the fight in under 9 rounds. Ive only got a little on the under and pounded the straight Kessler victory.

Good luck guys if anyone follows. Ill do a proper write up on the Pac-Morales fight (im liking Morales at the moment).

Re: ANDREW'S BOXING 06 THREAD!

Kessler totally out classed Lucas and won every round before Lucas was stopped due to a cut in round 10.

Only a little profit, due to the fight going over but thats ok.
