Parra vs. Alsoum (boxing)

Fight is on in about 3 hours.

Lorenzo Parra is a young fighter with some nice skills. He won the WBA belt of the flyweight division with an impressive victory over Eric Morel. This guy is amazing this is how his last 5 fights have ended and where they have been (remember Parra is from Venezuela):

WBA Title Fight: Morel - Puerto Rico - WIN UD

WBA Defense: Sakata - Japan - WIN MD

WBA Defense: Choi - Korea - WIN UD

WBA Defense: Nakanuma - Japan - WIN UD

WBA Defense: Sakata - Japan - WIN MD

No he is fighting in France against Alsoum who is French.

Youre porbably thinking yeah so what does this hav to do with anything. Well the odds for this fight are even. $1.90 for each fighter. Which does not reflect what level these guys are at. Parra is alot better fighter then Alsoum. Odds are so close because bookies are sacred with Parra not being a KO puncher that the fight will go to the scorecards. With the fight being in France they are worried about a hometown decision.

France does NOT have a history of hometown decision and for that matter, they occur alot more frequently in the US.

So basically its my opinion that Parra is pretty big overs in this fight. If your sportsbook is offering apick the result. Take Parra by decision. It should pay a little bit more then $3 which is good value.

Re: Parra vs. Alsoum (boxing)

Parra dropped him in the second and out boxed him rather easily to a unanimous decision.

SP, ill start a new thread about the Green/Mundine card.
