PGA GOLF - Chrysler Classic (US) & Volvo Masters (EUROPE)

I'm back after a few weeks off and liking what I'm seeing.

I'll start off with the Volvo Masters future plays.

Volvo Masters

Top 10 finish

Colin Montgomery @ $2.00 - His form on the European circuit has been very good. Expect it to continue.

Michael Campbell @ $2.40 - Has a lot to play for as does Montgomery.

I can't see these 2 players finishing outside the top 10. They're my prediction for 1 and 2.

Reason: Both are going for the Order of Merit title. If Campbell wins, he secures it. If Montgomerie wins, he secures it. Both will be up there.

Win: Michael Campbell @ $21
Win: Colin Montgomery @ $15

Good odds for players having the motivation to win. I think one of them will win this tournament as they have a lot to play for.

Chrysler Championship

Top 10 finish

Geoff Ogilvy @ $4.25 - Form warrants it
Vijay Singh @ $1.80 - Easy money

Top Australian

Geoff Ogilvy @ $5.00

Winner

Vijay Singh @ $7.50 - He should defend this.

Re: PGA GOLF - Chrysler Classic (US) & Volvo Masters (EUROPE)

I've gone with Ogilvy @ 41 and Maruyama @ 34

I know Singh is the obvious choice but he was so bad last tournament (both he and Tiger didn't even make the cut) that I think perhaps it won't be that much of a walk in the park for him.

Thanks for your input, Bolar. Maybe I'll have something on Monty in the Volvo thing

Yeah, that's true about Singh, but champions always bounce back. I'm wary of it and I think he will win. Good luck with Ogilvy and Maruyama. They look solid.

Re: PGA GOLF - Chrysler Classic (US) & Volvo Masters (EUROPE)

small plays for me:

V.Singh to finish top5 @2.10

A.Cejka best European @26

Harrington to beat Casey @1.80 (72 holes)

I think it's about time for a top10 finish for Cejka. He's still fighting for his tour card 2006, which he got easily the two years before.

Pimp - I wouldn't do those Singh bets. He has started off slowly his last few tournaments I think. But he's defending the title so he might start off fast. I personally wouldn't touch it but hope it wins for you.

Point taken - but I would have chosen someone like Tim Clark or Ben Crane or K J Choi.

Good luck. I really hope Singh fires for you.

Yeah, I won 2 out of my 6 bets. Horrific day.

However, I'm going to pound Singh in the 3-ball round 2.
