Re: 2010 Commonwealth Games

3 units Any other rider @ $7.50

The TAB have gone with an insane market here.

Cavendish @ $1.40

Davis and Sutton also in the market and no one else.

I understand this is probably a loss of 3 units, but it's worth the punt.

Cavendish has grade riders around him to set it up. Australia have a world class team. There is no way that Davis or Sutton will want to sprint against Cav because they know they can't beat him. Australia will rip it up tonight in the hope of putting Cav in difficulty without any team-mates.

Not to mention there are other riders like David Millar and Jack Bauer.

Ive been following it. i always watch the biggest sporting events, and NZ are participating. That being said, this has been a terrible event. No crowds, no atmosphere. Watching the hockey and badminton are depressing. The ones in Sydney a while back were so much better. Bolt and co pulling out havnt helped the event, same with the Indians scheduling test matches vs the Aussies. Also other stuff like scoreboards falling down and overall organistaion stuff ups, have made for poor viewing.

Its sad cos the main stadium where the track n field is being held, is fantastic. The culture and environment are beautiful too, which should have made this games special. Still cant believe how dead the event feels, could see about 5 locals in the womens hockey the other day, not even that.

So yeah i watch it, but im incredibly dissapointed with the way its turned out. The table tennis match between that indian guy and the pom was entertaining (good crowd, they were in to it). Need more of that.

Sad how poorly its turned out . No buzz at all.

I've been cleaning up on the rugby 7's today. Books have posted crazy lines. For example India +45.5 against Tonga.

Brimin Kipruto to win the steeplechase @ $3

The only event this guy hasn't won is a Commonwealth Games gold medal. There won't be anyone hungrier than this bloke tonight.

Re: 2010 Commonwealth Games

Women's Time Trial

15 units Emma Pooley @ $1.85 (TAB)

World time trial champion. Enough said.

Men's Time Trial

2 units Durbridge @ $7.50

1 unit Dennis @ $19

With how the Australian cyclists have gone these games, I'm not fading them. Chances of them winning a small, but Millar is too short to back even though he should probably win with ease. Stranger things have happened.

WIN

That was just exhausting to watch. Nz so flaky, almost bottled it. Van dyke so slow around the circle...Aiken fucked up by taking anna off in the 4th, Maria missing some sitters. Casey is a champ, what a win!!!. Cathy cox is way too good, brilliant under pressure. Absolutely delighted with this, hopefully Nz netball improves and dumps Rith as a coach, shes been to scared to rotate over the years, and it almost cost her today. Fantastic win for nz. Im very proud. What a match.
