Re: 2009 FINA World Championships

Cesar Cielo to win 100m freestyle - $5.00. May as well take this now before he breaks the world record tomorrow and his price is slashed.

and sportingbet still have Steffen at $1.45 to win the 100 frestyle which is a little odd. All these 1.05 and 1.08 favourites and they leave one of the locks of the week at $1.45.

and Soni is $1.40 to win the 200 breast which looks to be another lock.

Those 3 mentioned look good.

Cielo had a 46.8 written at his bedroom's wall:

Bousquet doesn't look strong and I don't trust Bernard. Cesar swam 47.0 opening the relay. I think he will win both the 50 and the 100.

Maybe putting a small stake now @5 is a good idea, then if he looks more a favourite ant the odds come down to 1-3 a bigger stake.

Re: 2009 FINA World Championships

Will the favs finally have their day today?

Can't see Phelps losing this, especially since he has no other event today. No suit bullshit in this one, that Jap is wearing the same gear as Phelps.

Mellouli is in great form, but that $1.25 seems a bit short. Colbertaldo is currenctly 3rd fav, there might be some value in h2h's against Prilukov and Davies. I read Colbertaldo had some shoulder problems last week..

The South African should win the 50m breast, but not touching it.

And Pellegrini, well..

What was Schipper doing in the heats this morning? Just testing her legs on the first 100m?

Re: 2009 FINA World Championships

Van der Burgh, França and many others shouldn't even be in the finals of the 50 breast after what they did in the underwater after the start. Do they think this is 50 butterfly or what?

I know it.

Thing is they were doing 2 or 3 kicks. This isn't allowed.
