Re: International Cricket - Feb '09

First test

Windies to win @ $3.40 - England suck at every sport at the moment apart from Cycling. Cycling is what they are good at. They are average at everything else. Windies at home will be strong. Plus maybe no flintoff and sidebottom has been injured so their bowling is average.

First Innings Lead - Windies @ $2.55 - If they bat first, they put up 400+ and England won't be able to manage that.

Windies High Bat - Gayle @ $4.50 - I believe he is going to score a big one. He is still agressive but being captain has made him change his game to be more accountable and when Gayle is in, he's hard to get out.

Sarwan more runs than Bell @ $1.90 - This **** needs to fire or he will find himself out of the test team soon enough.

Re: International Cricket - Feb '09

Series bets.

Windies to win @ $4

Windies most runs.

Gayle most runs @ $3 - See post above.

Windies most wickets

Edwards @ $3 - Edwards is improving and is starting to establish himself as potentially one of the best test bowlers in the world. Edwards missed the First Test against Sri Lanka in 2008. Since then, he has played every test match that WI has played in three series (SL, Australia and NZ). Not only that, he has taken 31 wickets at 24 runs each, with a strike rate of one wicket every 40 balls. That's a very good sign. Him along with Taylor are going to be potent bowlers for years to come. They just need to find someone to help them other than Powell. Once Bravo is back into the lineup, Windies will go up the test rankings.

Re: International Cricket - Feb '09

Also lets say.

Windies pushed Australia in 2008. Windies have beaten South Africa in South Africa in a test - I think it was early 2008? And Windies have pushed Sri Lanka and the series in New Zealand was rain affected so it's hard to tell what was going on there.

England on the other hand have only beaten New Zealand and have been flogged everywhere else. Good price in the Windies here.

Re: International Cricket - Feb '09

Adding today

Playing $500 on Gayle most runs @ $4
Playing $500 on Chanderpaul most runs @ $4.50

One of these guys will get the most runs in the first innings. I make a profit regardless providing Sarwan, Smith, Nash or Marshall don't fuck me up.

$500 Chanderpaul more runs than Sarwan @ $1.80

WON WON WON

Lost on the two high bats and the other bet. A profit, albeit a small one. Windies are going to kick England's arse this series. 51

Re: International Cricket - Feb '09

Why are the Windies the dogs in the second test?

Windies to win @ $3.45

Windies first innings lead @ $2

Again, Windies dominated England on a pitch which was a bit crap but also with excellent bowling from Taylor and Benn. England are decimated. If Windies can bat first here, they probably won't have to worry about batting again.

Re: International Cricket - Feb '09

Prices are out to 3.75 and draw is a 1.90 favourite.

From what I can tell, there is supposed to be some scatttered showers on Friday, Saturday and I think Sunday. But it doesn't look like it will be that bad. If my Meteorologist skills are anything to go by, there will be lots of play and this will still be result. May now wait and see what happens on day 1.
