English league cup Tues and Weds

Good competition for doggie hunters.

All these premiership teams are resting virtually all their starting XIs:

Reading at home to Darlington
Wigan away to Crewe
Watford at home to Acc Stanley
Sheff Utd at home to Bury
Bolton away to Walsall
Portsmouth away to Mansfield
Charlton at home to Carlisle.

So I would reccomend staying away from these teams. This stage sees a number of upsets. Might be worth backing a few of these dogs on the handicaps or even outright.

I like Everton to beat Peterbrough tonight. Everton are taking this tournament seriously this season and apart from a few changes, are putting out a strong side including Andy Johnson according to Everton's assistant manager. So I'm going for them @ £1.40 and also HT/FT @ £1.90.

Also, Norwich away at Rotherham @ £2.00. Norwich will want to get back onto form and Worthington is putting out a strong side and in Rob Earnshaw, they have the most lethal striker outside the premiership.

Re: English league cup Tues and Weds

Do not agree at all Jaap, im a Norwich fan and im sorry but we are absolutely horrific at the moment and wouldnt touch us with a barge poll. Our away form is simply shocking with 6 wins from the last 47 games. Add to that our record in Carling Cup has been almost non existent last several years. We are without Darren Huckerby, Lee Croft and Adam Drury who are arguably three of our best players. Add to that Drury's left back replacement Patrick Boyle on-loan from Everton is cup-tied. Despite all these injuries it wouldnt surprise me if Earnie was given a rest as he was last round. Peter Thorne is likely to start as are brothers Rossi and Ryan Jarvis.

Id back Man City to beat Chesterfield@1.66 - Pearce is up for the cup and already said he'll field a strong team

Everton and Norwich both pull through but it was close.

A few upsets as well with Wigan losing and others struggling.
