Weekend Soccer Picks ..

Here's a few I like, will probably end up taking just the one that I feel strongest about ..

* Brimingham vs Newcastle .. over 2.5 goals @ around $2 .. Brimingham desperate for points in a bid to avoid relegation. That should open up the game and with Newcastle also chasing it's sixth straight victory, and having scored 15 goals in it's last five, a few goals are likely.

* Middlesbrough vs Everton .. under 2.5 goals @ $1.65 .. Basing this one on the basis that little is riding on the clash. Also Everton has now gone 420 minutes without scoring, and will be without it's most potent player Tim Cahill.

* Manchester City to beat Fullham .. @ $1.90 .. another game where neither side has a great deal to get excited about. City broke a six game losing run midweek at Aston Villa, and with decent home crowd on the cards they should be able to put a couple past a Fullham side that hasn't won single match away from home this season.

* Also looking into the chances of a low scoring fixture in the battle between Man Utd and Chelsea .. Two good teams, it could be a chess match.

Re: Weekend Soccer Picks ..

A couple of bets that stand out.

Birmingham to beat Newcastle @ 2.30. Birmingham need the win for their relegation fight....anything less won't do. Newcastle are still fighting for Uefa cup place but Birmingham have the greater motivation and have had some good recent home results.

Wycombe to beat Darlington @ 2.00. Wycombe got back into form last week with a 3-1 away win. This coincided with their manager going on compassionate leave. The Wycombe players want to win for their manager and go into the play offs in good form. Darlington are finished for the season and have a poor away record.

Chelsea vs Man Utd draw @ 3.20. Although both teams would like to win, neither would be too unhappy with a draw. Chelsea because it will give them the title and Man Utd because it will mean a big step to get 2nd place which means they don't have to play qualifying rounds for champions league.
