To quote myself from the dutch football topic:
Marseille (0) @ 2.2 5/10
PSV are in horrific form at the moment. Where the side usually can rely on stability and a good back line under these circumstances, nothing of this can be called the case this season. Goalkeeper Gomes had proven to be impossible to replace since his departure last season and this is costing them points. Combine this with just 2 good players in their back line (Salcido and youngster Marcellis) a lot of weaknesses can be found. On their midfield they have the always stable Simons and the creative force of key player Afellay, but besides this it's just a mediocre bunch, especially striker Lazovic and Koevermans who need far too many chances to score the goals PSV so desperately needs. There is some talent in the squad on the positions not mentioned yet, but most of them are too young and inexperienced, or some of them just not anywhere near the standard PSV should pursue. In national matches they can keep up, but in international matches like this one, they just aren't good enough. They showed this with huge losses to Liverpool and Atletico, where they couldn't even dream of grabbing a point.
Marseille on the other hand has had their share of ups and downs this season but looked decent to say the least in both 2-1 Champions League losses, at home to in form Liverpool and away at red hot Atletico. They have a good squad with a mixture of all types of players and have a good combination of talent and experience. Captain Cana should miss the game however, but on a brighter note important defender Rodriguez is back from his injury. Besides this there don't seem to be any important missings for either side.
Marseille had a good rehearsal for this match with a relatively easy win at Valencienns, while PSV was beaten by NAC Breda. No mather how I look at this match, I just can't see Marseille losing this one. Momentum is on their side and the amount fo quality as well. Of course PSV has the home advantage but they have been unable to imress at home thusfar this season. Odds on Marseille are just far too high and the level ball line is an excellent option at these odds.
