EPL Season 08/09

So what are people's picks for the new season?

Personally I'm loving Tottenham's off-season thus far with the acquisitions of Modric, Dos Santos and Gomes. My early pick would be Spurs at the handicap for the title.

Come On You Spurs...

Re: EPL Season 08/09

Spurs have indeed made some great offseason aquisitions. I can only hope that Arsenal will do the same as Tottenham are getting better each year. Despit last seasons 11th positioning.

Arsenal should sell Ade and get the Falcao and grab Ronny in a deal with Hleb and buy a good tall defender like Chelsea's Alex.

The thing with Spurs though is that they continually disappoint while Aresenal are BIG 4 - and Champions League every year. Last season, Spurs fans where as excited as any in recent memory because of the expectation they might finally crack the top 4.

BBC did an online survey last year to see which team was the most frustrating for fans to follow...and Spurs was at the top.

However I love how Ramos is doing a wholesale clearout and being aggressive in the market. I reckon we could make top 4 this year...fingers crossed!

If Arsenal don't sign some damn players soon, Tottenham could pip us. But i wreckon it will be down to Liverpool and the fourth spot.

Don't forget that Man City will be right there with Tottenham.

I see Spurs doing well because of Ramos. Sure we may lose Berbatov to Man U or Keane to Liverpool, but we haven't exactly done that well with them either. So wholesale cleanout is the way to go...and I think that is exaclty what he will do.

As for gossip - check out this website

I really, really dislike English Football, but always keep an eye on it given my hatred for Liverpool and Arsenal.

FFS Arsenal should just let Adebayour come to Milan. He wants to go, we need him. Simple.

Milan can have Ade for 30million pounds. Complete bargain. Ade's not that great, he's overrated.

Dos Santos is a dumb transfer, he´s just not good enough for a top side atm and I highly doubt he will ever be. Luis García is miles better than him for instance

Dos Santos is no way a dumb transfer. He is young and will need some time to get stronger and adapt to the EPL. The reason he couldn't get time at Barcelona was because of the talent ahead of him.
