Fa Cup weekend

My early thoughts:

Over 2.5 Colchester vs Peterboro @ 1.89

There is always goals at Colchester - 43 goals in their 13 home games this season. Peterboro are not goal shy themselves - 10 of their last 13 matches finishing in overs, including 5-0 and 7-0 wins for Peterboro. Aaron Mclean is a goal machine for them, so watch out for him and fellow striker Mackail-Smith has scored 7 goals in the previous two rounds.

Qpr + 2.5 vs Chelsea

Qpr now under billionaire owners. Just bought in a load of players recently and won three of their last four matches, including a 4-2 win away to 2nd place Watford. Since Buzsaky arrived at the club they have slowly climbed up the table. Chelsea still missing a host of players and its a London derby with 6,000 QPR fans present so it won't be a pushover for Chelsea. 2 goal victory at best IMO.

It may be also worth backing against the following:

Bolton vs Sheff Utd

Bristol City vs Middlesboro

Huddersfield vs Birmingham

Fulham vs Bristol Rovers

Watford vs Crystal Palace

All these teams are odds on but their priorities will be on the league IMO. I guess some of them will rest players and wouldn't mind if they get knocked out.

Re: Fa Cup weekend

I'd be looking at accumulators this weekend. A few picks on a host of markets are as follows:

For me, the standouts in the English FA Cup are:
EVERTON vs Oldham @ 1.3
BLACKBURN vs Coventry @ 1.4
Luton vs LIVERPOOL @ 1.33
Burnley vs ARSENAL @ 1.4

Potential upsets are:
STOKE vs Newcastle @ 2.3 (DrawNoBet)
Derby vs SHEFF WED @ 2.4 (DrawNoBet)

Another potential winner is in League One:
CARLISE vs Port Vale @ 1.57

Also the French FA Cup starts today as well and some standouts are:
Creteil vs LYON @ 1.3

Potential upset:
Epinal vs PSG @ 9 (DrawNoBet)

In La Liga:
VALENCIA vs Levante @ 1.4
Mallorca vs BARCA @ 1.8

My tip would be for: EVERTON, CARLISE, VALENCIA @ cummulative odds of 2.86. All home sides with Valencia needing the win against La Liga's bottoms side. Despite their problems with Abelda, Canizares and trainer Koeman, they should still be too strong for the likes of Levante. Everton have history in the FA Cup and despite coming undone against a host of lower league sides in recent years, this Everton side is coming to Champion's League quality. Oldham will find it hard to cope with the calibre of Johnson and Pienaar whilst I suspect a start for Gravesen will see the bald Dane coming out with a point to prove. Carlise are one of the best sides at home in the whole of England and playing a bottom side at home seems like a banker. They've scored at least twice at home this season so I see this as a foregone conclusion.

Stefan Edberg - Novak Djokovic - Roger Federer - Richard Gasquet - Pete Sampras
AFC Ajax - Barcelona C.F. - Celtic FC - Internazionale - Manchester United
Johan Cruijff - Paul Scholes - Wesley Sneijder - Richard Witschge
Boston Red Sox
Collingwood Magpies

Re: Fa Cup weekend

Personally I never touch cup games, they are just too unpredictable.

Live spanish football tonight on sky sports, should be safe enough for overs backers.
