Champions League/ Uefa Cup/ World Football-Nov 27

Champions League

VFB Stuttgart over Rangers 6/5 - The german champions have been awful in the group stages this year but have recently shown some excellent form in the german league winning 5 games on the bounce including a 3-1 demolition of the mighty bayern Munich. I remember Hamburg last year in the group stages, they didnt have to win in terms of qaulification but wanted to boost moral, they beat CSKA 3-2, i think something similar will happen today. Rangers are a typical scottish team, all heart and passion but very little skill, i reckon stuggart will edge this.

Barcelona over Lyon 13/8- I still believe that Lyon are not the same team of a few years ago, i reckon barca can win this easily.

Sevilla vs Arsenal - Over 2 goals 10/11- Two very attacking teams go head to head, i reckon we could see a high scoring draw.

Roma over Kiev 5/6- Roma look to seal qaulification in russia with a win, Kiev have been their usual dissapointing selves and roma have been pretty handy away from home both in the league and europe.

Liverpool over Porto 1/2- Liverpool must win this game to have any chance of qaulifying, who would back against them? Comming into brilliant form, breathtaking performance away to newcastle on saturday, i think rafa has found the formula.

Lazio over Olympicos 5/6- Lazio have qauietly gone about their business in the group stages and will take controll of qaulification with a home win tommorow, olympicos are noting special and have a very suspect goalkeeper, Lazio always strong at home as real madrid found out and i reckon they will edge this 1-0 or 2-1.

English Championship (Division 1)

Crystal Palace over Preston 19/20- Preston were absoloutely awful in their last game against charlton, Palace are starting to find form with an excellent away win last week, i reckon they can build on that with a nice home win today.

Argentinian Apertura

Lanus over Gimnasia La Plata 1/2- Lanus will look to gain 3 points here after dissapointing home draw to the juniors last week, lets get one thing straight here, lanus have been a very good team all season and the odds are too good to miss.

Uefa Cup

Bolton over Aris 8/13- Bolton comming off a 2-2 away draw to bayern and beating the mighty man u on sat will look to get back on track in europe in a must win game, dont normally like to bet on a team with a crap manager but i think he might be starting to win me over, good odds considering boltons form of late.

I like Sevilla Lyon double
Add Inter and Man U likely multipliers gives you $11
I like that!

Some interesting news to take into account before making any bets tonight.

VfB Stuttgart v Rangers

Stuttgart are set to be without top scorer Mario Gomez, with the striker picking up a rib injury.

Influential Turkish international midfielder Yildiray Basturk is sidelined with a hamstring strain.

I did like the look of Stuttgart but with those 2 missing it makes a big difference although scottish sides typically don't travel well.

Sevilla v Arsenal

Arsenal will be without rested captain William Gallas and striker Emmanuel Adebayor but midfielders Cesc Fabregas, Mathieu Flamini and Gilberto are back.

Sevilla leading scorer Luis Fabiano has been passed fit after an ankle problem.

Like the look of Sevilla here, arsenal defence could be shaky and they are due a loss.

Man Utd v Sporting

Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani have been named in Manchester United's line-up to face their former club Sporting Libson

Keeper Vladimir Stojkovic has recovered from a hip injury but 19-year-old Rui Patricio is likely to retain his place.

Comfortable home win for man u i think here, will look at ronaldo to score first and anytime.

Re: Champions League/ Uefa Cup/ World Football-Nov 27

Celtic v Shakhtar

Both teams are level on points and celtic know a decent win for them will definitely put them ina greta position to finish second in the group, as long as keeper Boruc returns i can only see the home team winning. Might play celtic to win 1 or 2 nil.

Re: Champions League/ Uefa Cup/ World Football-Nov 27

Rosenborg v Chelsea

Rosenborg have done very well up to now but lets be honest it will be a miracle if they get out of the qualifying stages and i think Chelsea will end that dream today. Chelsea have a few players out but Drogba should return and will be the main man in this game.
