Few reasons why I like these two bets for the opener of the CL season:
*Porto in CL since 2003 have built a fortress at the Drago. Since the start of Morinho's reign as head coach till now under Ferreira Porto have remained unbeaten at home in CL competition.
*Liverpool may be coming into this game with a very good start to the domestic season but so are Porto who are on the back of a 4 game winning streak with their last loss being on 11 August.
*Under Ferreira Porto have reverted to playing more of a open passing game utilising Quaresma on both flanks. Liverpool have also reverted back to their big guns up forward in Torres and Kuyt after their 0-0 draw at Portsmouth who should be able to have plenty of chances against a suspect defense with the departure of Pepe and having to continue to field their second GK Santo as Helton is still injured and unlikely to start today.

good luck
ugh

win + loss, -ve for the day. I overslept otherwise could have covered myself on the over play by taking the X after Pennant saw red.. Liverpool were never going to push the ball after that.

Solid call on Shakhtar boys

Opposing any of the UK teams will never be a public play when it comes to CL, lot of mug money comes in for them due to patriotism.

One of these two should come off:

Schalke 04 vs Valencia X @ 3.20 (to win 1)
Porto vs Liverpool X @ 3.19 (to win 1)
(First also wanted to jump on that +0,5 BG but i somehow got the feeling Liverpool will play a similar match to last years seasonopener and the match will finish 0-0 or 1-1)
Very nice evening! Will now look into tommorow's game and maybe come back with a play later!

Yep exactly. Made a tidy profit laying Liverpool last night.

Leaning towards Laying Man Utd tonight, will do a bit of futher research but looks solid enough.

Re: Champions League 18-19th Sept

PSV Eindhoven over CSKA Moscow @ 1.93 (1)

Okay: PSV lost two key players in Cocu and Alex. They did brought some new talented attackers in with Lazovic and Koevermans. Bakkal (which is out for this game) and Aisatti returned back from FC Twente. PSV hasn't conceded a goal in the first 4 Eredivisie matches. Last years main stricker Farfan is close to 100% again. PSV is well known for it's organisation and they seem to have a balanced team this year again. They have been very good the last couple of years at home in the CL (almost reached the final 2 years ago against Milan). CSKA on the other side are currently sitting in 5th place in Russian League and haven't played a competitive game since the 2nd of September. CSKA will probably play very defensively and hope for a good counterattack. I think PSV will have the organisation and creativity to overcome this tactic and will win here 1-0 or 2-0.

Also gonna wait a little more to see if Barry Ferguson can play at Ibrox. If he can't i will most likely have a punt on Stuttgart handicap or SU win.

Ferguson did play so no bet for me in Glasgow!

Win on PSV though! Nice start of the CL season
