What is Fantasy Tennis Manager?
This is a game run on the following website: Fantasy Tennis Manager
The aim is to pick a team of players each week that score points for you.
Each week when the draws for tournaments are released you pick your team for that week.
You only have a limited budget to comply with. This budget depends on the type of tournament (ATP 250, ATP 500, ATP 1000 or Grand Slam) due to be played and how strong the field is.
My suggestion is rather than use the website's ranking system, which means you must play EVERY week of the year if you want to finish near the top, I manage a ranking system on MTF that works the same way as the official ATP rankings. Once you have signed up to the game on the website above, you join an MTF subleague (which I will set up later). Whoever scores the most points each week scores the maximum points available (2000 for a Grand Slam, 1000 for ATP 1000 etc) all the way down to 1 point for the team coming 30th. If you finish outside of the top 30 you score zero points. (In the event of considerably more than 30 people being interested then I will adjust the scoring points).
Then your best 18 results (4 Grand Slams, 8 best out of 9 ATP 1000's and 6 best other results (ATP 500s, ATP 250s) count towards your ranking. After the final ATP 1000 event in Paris, the top 8 players will qualify for the Tour Finals.
Please post below if you would be interested in playing the game. If I gain enough interest then we will start at the Australian Open (the same time as the official website begins).
