Post ATP Tennis managing game 2005

Hi all,

I've been running a tennis managing game for over 3 years now, and I thought some of you guys might be interested in it.

The basic principle is this:
You get an amount of money (virtual, yes, sorry) each week, from which you can select your squad of top 100 players each week. (Deadline Tuesday night 0.15 CET).
Players cost as much as their Entry Value. So this week Nalbandian would have cost you 1645 (euro/dollar, whatever), and Rusedski only 498.
So you can pick a few expensive ones, or a lot of cheap ones

The players in your squad score points as per champions race, so every player you have in the QF of Moscow would make you 12 points. Having picked Dent, a 2nd round defeat in Vienna only made you 5 points.
This seems clear to me.

But during the season you can also make extra money for yourself to spend in the weeks afterwards. Because you've bought the players for their entry value, at the end of the week you sell them again for their new value. So players may have made money by increasing their entry value, or you may lose money by having someone who's dropped in Entry points.

The game is about scoring the champions race points, but it's equally important to keep an eye on your budget, because if you get more than the competition, you can maybe buy an extra player others can't afford.

Actually, the game can only be joined for real in 2005, though if some people are interested in joining then, I could let them play now the last few weeks as a test if they'd like.
I'm writing this now because I've opened the entries for 2005. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Please, have a look at the website, (don't be too scared about the numbers ), the concept is as I've said above. I hope you'll all like the game, and will join us for 2005.

Thanks for listening to my ranting.
