NFL Week 5

This week as expected was not as kind to me as first hoped. I thrive to have better results and be on par with my my first two weeks. There are a few games that I like but I feel this week is rather tricky still.

Chargers -3.5 over Pittsburgh
I know a lot of people are going to hate this pick considering the Steelers are coming off a bye week and desperate for a victory but I don't care. This defence is possibly the best in the league and even more dangerous is that their are at home. Steelers look like an average team right now and I don't think that is going to change.

Eagles -2.5 over Cowboys (pending status of Mcnabb and others)
Mcnabb will finally get his revenge for himself and the fans of Philly. I will not add anything else right now.

Giants Redskins over 43
This should be a high scoring game as both teams have lost their defences. It should be an exciting game, expect a lot of back and forth scores plus Brunell is on fire!!

Chiefs -3 over Cardinals
I am offically off the Cardinal bandwagon, they had so much promise but Warner is just awful this year. Sure they have great receivers but what difference does it make if your quarterback is the offical spokesperson for Butterfingers.

They are more games I like but will only pick four for now.

Re: NFL Week 5

I'd stay away from any Steelers games, they're definitely a better team than waht they've been showing us so far and it's impossible to tell if the bye week will help them reach their potential again. I'd feel safer taking the Chargers in this situation though. Better to ride the losing streak than to try and guess when they'll get out of it.

Re: NFL Week 5

Cant say I like the chargers play either and that d is nowhere near the best in the league. Well maybe nowhere near is a bit strong, they are top 10 but they can be moved on. Baltimore had more than its fair share of chances and McNair made bad read after bad read and his timing was way off but in the end he made it count. Pitt will be much more of a threat on offense then the 3 teams they've seen and are maybe a notch down from what baltimore brought on d but still better than san diego on that side of the ball. Being in San Diego is a plus for the chargers but it'll be upto Rivers to win this one again and as impressed as I was with him last week im not sure I believe he can do it still. That being said I can make arguements for both sides so unless its to tease the pitt +3.5 to 10.5 or more I think im off this one.

This weeks got a bunch of tough match ups and the books seem to have some really solid lines this week.

Denver was gonna be my big play but caught the line right after it moved to 4 and I dont wanna take 4 I was hoping to buy the point and get it at 3.

Giants might be a play but again the lines moved to 4 and I was looking for 3.

Stay away from the Rams this week...that offense is not made for cold Green Bay weather....and they are due for another let down

This one looks suspicious - Leinart starting next week, confirmed.

that he is. I hate betting for or against unknowns tho. He could come out and play like a rook or he could step up. KC has been playing well defensivly but they arent so dominating on d that I would go against him, the only time I wanna go against an unknown rook is against a d that is gonna welcome him to the big time the hard way and theres only a few teams I trust to do that. Baltimore, Chicago, Philly

That's my point. KC -3 looks a little too easy and Vegas are not in the business of handing out freebies....

Warner will be in that game before half time and he just changed his name to MR.IthrowPicksandFumlbe5timesAGame.

Trent Green wont start at QB for KC...still hurt...Larry Johnson had good last week..but's not an impressive year like last year...

The line is about right. Kansas City had a great game last week but everyone knows that it was at home against a weak 49er team. This is on the road against a desperate team looking to rebound from a couple of bad games.

maybe not...the weather is suppose to be 65 on sunday...which is good...and after looking at some stats...Green Bay Pass Defense sucks more than the Rams...they just cut there starting CB...who was 1st round pick in 2004... Bulger has been great this year..he will throw to Holt and Bruce all game long.. Jackson will run it to keep it balanced...Rams 35 Green Bay 24

Re: NFL Week 5

The more I look at these lines and compare them with my numbers the more I hate this upcoming weeks sched.

Anyone else having a bitch of a time finalizing plays?

Re: NFL Week 5

Manning is going to throw for 400+ yds and get a bag of TD's against that shitty Titans team.

Colts -18 looks achievable by HT
