College Football Week 6

NCAAF YTD: 33-31-6 (-2.72 units)
5* 0-0 (Even)
4* 0-0 (Even)
3* 0-1 (-3.45 units)
2* 4-3-1 (+1.2 units)
1* 29-28-5 (-.47 units)

Thursday

Division I-AA

1* Iona (-1) (-115) Over St. Peter's - Available at 5Dimes

Iona owns the H2H in this series 13-4. Iona will be looking for revenge after losing last season's game on there home field. Iona enters this game with a 2-3 record coming off a heartbreaking 39-32 double OT loss to LaSalle. Iona doesn't have the best of teams but they are more then capable to win this one on the road. St. Peter's is just 1-3 on the season and they've lost the last two games by a combined 63 pts. In St. Peter's 3 losses they lost by a deficit of 36 pts, 27 pts & 24 pts. These teams have one common opponent this season in Wagner in which Iona lost 14-0 and St. Peter's lost 52-25. Iona should muster enough offense at St. Peter's to take this game.

Saturday

1* Ohio St. (-3) (-110) Over Penn St.

Well this could be the trap game although I really don't believe it. OSU is the 3rd best team in the nation without a doubt. OSU should be able to contain PSU's rushing attack in this game. Both teams feature very good defenses and even though this game is at PSU, OSU is the much better team and have more balance throughout there team. OSU takes this one in a serious Big Ten battle.

1* Michigan/Minnesota Over 56 (-110)

Michigan will be able to put up some points against a very porous Minnesota D. The final score might be close to the total in this one but I gotta believe both teams will be able to get into the 30's in this one. Both have good enough offenses for it.

1* Central Michigan (-2) (-120) Over Army - Bought 1/2 pt

I made some decent money off of Army last week while CMU burned me against Akron last week. I was on Akron at -10 and they lead by that at the half until CMU came back and won 31-17. Ok CMU stinks on the road. I know that but Army is really not that good and I think there great performance against Iowa St. at home was an over estimation of there talent. CMU has shown enough balance on offense as they've really been able to move the ball against all there opponents. Defensively CMU goes with the bend but don't break philosophy. They give up alot of yards but they hold there opponents to a decent point total. CMU is the better squad here and Army has had a horrendous time holding onto the football this season. I look for CMU to force a couple of turnovers and manager the clock with there balanced offense.

1* Colorado (-3) (-120) Over Texas A&M - Bought 1/2 pt

Maybe Texas A&M took Baylor lightly last week but that result really has me scratching my head. Colorado features a very good defense here. Texas A&M will not be an easy team to stop offensively this season but the Buffs I believe will be able to contain them. If Colorado can mange to keep a consistent offense going they should beat the Aggies.

1* Houston (PK) (-110) Over Tulane

Two teams playing well. Offensively Houston is very good and there clicking on all cylinders. I just don't think the Green Wave will be able to hold down Houston in this one. Houston's win over Tulsa last week impressed me enough to take this one.

1* Air Force (+1) (-110) Over Navy

This might be the quickest game on the board. Two teams who will just run all day. AFU killed me last week with there blowout loss to CSU. AFU should be able to move the ball on a consistent basis against Navy. Teams are averaging close to 400 ypg against Navy. Last week Duke doubled Navy in time of possesion and plays. AFU should do the same. Clearly AFU has the better talent. Can they pull this one off on the road that's the question.

1* West Virginia (-3) (-120) Over Rutgers

This will be a defensive battle here. WVU just features more weapons on offense which makes me think in the end they'll be able to take this. WVU has faced the better competition between the two teams and that experience should help them out in this contest.

1* San Diego St. (-9) (-110) Over UNLV

UNLV just has too many injuries going into this game. Last week UNLV got blown out by Wyoming. The score isn't as close as it was as UNLV scored two TD's in the last 3 minutes of that game. SDSU had an impressive 31-10 win over BYU last week and I look for them to beat an undermanned and less talented UNLV squad.

Division I-AA

1* Dayton (-1) (-115) Over Drake - Available at 5Dimes

Dayton has just been downright dominating this season. With an awesome running game I just don't see Drake stopping them. This is a big conference battle here but Dayton has been more impressive this season. Dayton takes this one by double digits.

1* Akron (-10) (-110) Over Buffalo

Akron burned me last week against CMU. Look for a nice rebound win here.

Re: College Football Week 6

alright just a few plays for me today:

Arizona State - 9.5 over Oregon... 2 units I dont like giving up this many points but just a stronger more talented team all around.

Ohio State - 3.5 over Penn State... 3 units

Battle of the big defences but Ohio states amongst the nations elite and Penn States got a questionable qb.

Cal + 1.5 over UCLA.... 2 units

Cals got a better d by far, UCLAs front 4 is young and shouldn't be able to apply enough pressure to hurt Cal.

Gl everyone

Adding a 2nd unit to San Diego St. I normally would just edit in above but since most of those games started already I'll just write it here.

2* San Diego St. (-5.5) Over UNLV - 2nd Half

SDSU had a g*d awful 1st half. I look for them to rebound big in the 2nd half.

Bet Lost - Thankfully Marshall scored a TD in the last seconds as a 0.5 loss would have been hard to swallow!
