Re: MLB wed. the 18th....

Posada, the catcher, reaches on an infield single (had to have been misplayed by somebody, lol).

Bases loaded, 2 outs, for Giambi who is 1-4

This is what it's all about, folks!!

Tino, hottest hitter in the league next to Abreu of Philly.

Re: MLB wed. the 18th....

It says Giambi struck out swinging, no Tino?

Giambi seems to have his best games against Oakland, who they've already swept.

There goes NYs 11 game win streak. And a close game at that. 7-6.

yup leave it to my mariners. Lesson learned wont bet against them again, and really likely not to be with them either.

Re: MLB wed. the 18th....

I would bet on Seattle if say, Moyer gets hot. He's too good, and has a track record of putting up solid seasonal ERAs.

They have a good young nucleus in starting pitching in return for Garcia.

All of Seattle's starting ERA's is over 4, but their bullpen in Hasegawa, Guardado, and Putz is spectacular.

So if one of their starters gets hot and they play a below .500 team, I would definitely consider them as ML contenders.

Re: MLB wed. the 18th....

its not that I dont think they're solid enough to bet on but its just easier to watch them as a fan with no money riding, the last few days has made watching them frustrating. Sonics games win or lose are always more fun with betting, but something about baseball and my team just doesn't work for me.

Re: MLB wed. the 18th....

I know how you feel. Seattle is in the same situation as Cincinnati, my team, only it's the opposite. Your starting pitching isn't so hot, the Reds overall pitching stinks from starters to the bullpen.

You have to feel confident having the best RF in all of baseball, though.

Sexson, Beltre, Boone, Ichiro - 4 potential allstar ballots

It's frustrating seeing people picks MLs and parlays against Cincinnati, when I know they are capable of playing real good baseball. It's not strange for you to see them score 12 one game, then 2 the next. Very, very sketchy team to bet on.
