Gambling Strategies

I am really interested in anyones gambling strategies in baseball...how could you tell who is going to win if a team plays another team 4 times in 4 days??For me..i kinda feel .. its just buying a lottery ticket ...

However i really like to bet the over or under score in baseball...i think its similar to the NBA ..thinking wise ...appreciate anybodys input here ...

Re: Gambling Strategies

Starting pitchers play a huge role, obviously. And of course the reviewing of talent.

Check ESPN.com for injuries and daily lineups. Sometimes coaches sit out players in the 4th game of a 4-gamer.

I don't think the '05 will hold much ground on your words with Whitey Ford knowledge. You're going to have to update your intellect if you want to inform the people properly, as they deserve.

I still give ESPN the edge in information. Unless you can provide daily lineups on the local STL stations, then yes.

But for every other team go to ESPN.

Re: Gambling Strategies

If Ducky can produce credible information such as injuries, moves, free agents picked up/sent down, then that's just fine like I said. Anything relevant to the team certainly will help.

Just don't go picking them to win 5 out of 6 games being a homer. Be a fair commentator; impartial.

We can do our best judging the games with the team moves out there. That's all I ask out of Ducky for the season.

Baseball is one of my stronger points, but nobody knows what the coach is going to do day-in and day-out. You have to hope you have access to the FOX stations on DirecTV to accumulate knowledge on as many team as possible. Usually during their pre-game shows they'll tell you the lineups and injuries and everything.

So basically DirecTV customers have an edge, or whatever sports packages they offer around the world where many of the games are available.

Re: Gambling Strategies

i can never string solid wins in baseball - IMO there isn't consistent trends to work with as there as in the NBA

Yeah, it's rare that a team wins more than 75% of their games like basketball or football. They play so many games and so many injuries can happen over 162 games. As well as the coach sitting very good players just to rest team.

They should shorten the seasons, IMO. But keep the series format.

It largely depends on who starts on the mound. I'm not going to be betting against the Johnsons, Mulders, Santanas, etc..

Re: Gambling Strategies

Yes, that's the best addition by far to the MLB.com website.

I wonder if they are connected with the TV stations, so basically it's the same feed as the FOX stations. Probably. If so, that's definitely good news to betters because you get to make decisions based on the MLB TV.

Unless of course the game comes on at the start of the first pitch.
