Re: NBL semi-finals

Just a point of interest on this game - Cairns headed straight from Perth to Melbourne today rather than returning home and travelling south on tuesday ... Excellent decision imo ... They would've had a bit of fanfare awaiting them here .. it was nuts when they made the semis last season, there were about three hundred fans cheering them home at the airport, and a couple of days later they fronted up in Sydney and were spanked ...

Re: NBL semi-finals

^ will do my best mate but it'll be very much a whistlestop tour .. I'll be busier than a cat digging a hole in concrete tomorrow and fly back to Cairns about the time the game is tipping off (won't know the result until I land!)

Re: NBL semi-finals

The over will hit tonight.

Sydney put up a ridiculous amount of points last week and Brisbane don't know the meaning of defence - especially on their home court. This will be a shootout. Total will finish around 220.

Agree with you Bolar ... I liken game one of a semi final series to the first round of a golf tournament - scoring will be a lot freer, it's not like their seasons hinge on every bucket made and stopped tonight ...

Re: NBL semi-finals

I disagree.

Can Sydney beat Brisbane in a high tempo game in Brisbane? Unlikely.

The Kings will need to slow the tempo, and play to their strengths, not Brisbane's.

I think this one stays under 200.

Re: NBL semi-finals

I think I might be liking the Kings +10.5 a little more than the total anyway .. Brisbane coming off a break and with Bradtke and Bruton a little banged up .. Brian Goorjian coached teams don't beat themselves at this time of the season too and the fact this game is being played at Boondal makes it a little more neutral imo ... Kings catching 10 looks nice ..

Re: NBL semi-finals

I'll be on Sydney + the points too. They always keep themselves close to Brisbane. It would not surprise me however if Brisbane come out firing and win this by 15. They want to make a statement.
