I like the chances of Atlanta @ Cleveland. Took a +9.5 handicap @ 1.90. I know they have been horrible the last 2 years but it seems like things are getting better. At first wanted to take the Atlanta to win @ 5.05 because i see value here but ended up with the handicap.
Yesterday i got lucky with the -2.5 handicap on the Magic! Is it wise to bet on dogs in NBA? Most of the time i bet on tennis and soccer and especially in tennis i feel betting dogs works. Is it the same in NBA?
Was wondering why GS are @ 3.25. They had a good preseason and beat Dallas last night. They seem to do well now under Don Nelson. I know NO is 3--0 so far but they weren't that good in preseason and i don't rate them that high. Well still got some time to think about that lean.
Preseason doesn't mean much, I wouldn't look to hard at those records.
As for NO, I think you should rate them fairly high, they were the surprise team of the year last year (though they tailed off greatly at the end). Paul is already up there with Nash as one of the league's best pure point guards, his presence on the court is tremendous. West broke out last year in a huge way and has continued this year. Then they added Peja, Bobby Jackson, and Chandler, who are all fitting well and contributing.
The Warriors on the other hand, are terribly inconsistent. For some reason they play the Mavs tough, and are actually 3-0 against them in Dallas the last 2 years. They could be prone for a letdown the day after a huge win.
GL Sheva, I am surprised that the line actually moved towards NO overnight even after the Warriors' win. They easily played their best game by far and Richardson looked like his old self for the first time all year. They can hang with anybody on a given night, and if you can somehow figure this team out, they could be quite profitable.
