Thumbs up NBA Playoffs - NBA FINALS

Eastern conference
(1)Detroit vs (8) Milwalkee
(4)Cleveland vs (5)Washington
(3)New Jersey vs (6)Indiana
(2)Miami vs (7)Chicago

Western conference
(1)San Antonio vs (8)Sacramento
(4)Dallas vs (5)Memphis
(3)Denver vs (6)LA Clippers
(2)Phoenix vs (7)LA Lakers

Here is my 2 cents from a series point of view.

Pistons to sweep the Bucks, Wizards to cause an upset and beat Lebron, I just think they are more balanced as a team at this stage, and Butler has really been stepping up for them down the stretch a very underrated player. Nets to go through, Bulls to give the Heat a run for their money, but Heat have the big game players to see them progress.

In the West, Spurs, Mavs to go through. Suns-Lakers might be closer than what people think, just can't predict what Kobe can do in any given night, but the question can he single handedly win 4 games for the Lakers? The closest series in the West IMO is the Nuggets and Clippers - Nuggets as dogs might be worth a punt, but consistency has always been an issue with them this season

I've already lined up the Pistons ATS in Game 1, even though it will probably be a DD spread, will wait to see what the other lines are before committing.

I would be interested to hear what everyone else's thoughts are

Re: NBA Playoffs - First Round

Like all your predictions but I think Suns in 5, maybe even 4 Kobe would need to score 65+ to keep up with the Suns offence. Bad matchup when it comes to a maraton game.

No guts, no glory!

Re: NBA Playoffs - First Round

Good analysis BG, the best value is the Wizards (+190) over the Cavs. I'm still not convinced that the Cavs are that strong of a team, Lebron has an ankle problem, Gooden is hurting, and Hughes just came back. The Wiz lead the season series 3-1, winning the last three.

As for Suns/Lakers, I don't think Kobe will allow his team to be swept. Suns have been cruising into the playoffs while the Lakers have been one of the better teams as of late. Lamar is finally getting it going and is playing successfully with Kobe, Kwame is playing the best basketball of his career, and the rest of the supporting cast are doing their jobs well. Suns lead the season series 3-1, but all three losses were on the backend of a back-to-back for the Lakers, and the Suns just outran them. Not the case in the playoffs, Lakers should push this series to at least 6, and I give them a decent shot at an upset.

Re: NBA Playoffs - First Round

Wizards are a dangerous ball club, but I wouldn't underestimate the Cavs. They were a 50 win ball club even with a very key player in Hughes out for a large chunk of the season. Most teams struggle when you take a key player out, so for the Cavs to register home court advantage and the #4 seed with a week left was a good effort. And we all know LeBron is a show stopper who will deliver in this game. Cavs -5 is what I like in Game 1.

Mavs to win it all ??

are u serious ???????

Pistons will be the new champ if they keep playing like they did in the season..the only team that could trouble them are the Spurs with a healthy Duncan ..well thats not the case..

I can t see anyone beating the Pistons..Heat suck..I wonder why Shaq
refused to give Kobe that role like he does with Wade now.. he should have stepped back and let Kobe do the show and would still have a chance to compete for a ring..not with this team

NJ over Indiana 4-2 or 4-1
Miami in 7 over Chicago
Detroit in 4
Cleveland in 6

Spurs in 5 or 6 ..like i said they have to earn their run to the finals ..Duncan is not healthy and he is still the franchise player in that team

Suns in 7
Dallas in 6 or 7
Nuggets Clippers coin toss
