Frog-eater's Feast Friday

Not many odds out yet for tomorrow's matches , but with at least 3 frog-eaters (kindly meant , I'm francophonic myself) thru to the quarter finals - surprise stuff PHM and the direct duellants, Clement & Santoro, this thread should early be dedicated to the national prospects in Marseille who might include Simon and Grosjean.

Don't know all the matchups yet.. my first lean for tomorrow:

RRH over Old Moya.. hoping for good odds.

No guts, no glory!

No guts, no glory!

Re: Frog-eater's Feast Friday

Got four good matches today:

Vliegen @ 2.00
Vliegen has been in good form of late, and Vince is getting old. I beleive Vliegen will have enough stamina to take this out.

Starace @ 3.20
Starace just took out Chela at home on clay, which means he's playing good. Ferrero is still not completely back to his old form.

Calleri @ 2.60
I think Calleri will have too much experience and will be able to hang in there even when he's down. If he gets an early lead, he should hold on to it.

Arthurs @ 5.00 (its sentimental )
Arthurs is playing Hewitt, another Australian, which will pose a problem for Hewitt. Hewitt has been playing very badly of late, and so Arthurs definitely has a strong chance.

Re: Frog-eater's Feast Friday

My instincts have been very good this week.. decided to go for it but reducing stakes significantly just in case today goes 0/4 still in profit for the week!:

I'm expecting at least 1-2 of these three dogs to come through through!

RRH over Moya @3.520 (tiny stakes)
PHM over Nadal @3.750 (tiny stakes)
Pashanski over Volandri @2.920 (tiny stakes)

Spadea over Vliegen @1.833

No guts, no glory!

Liking both of those mate! I'm not on anything today though as the card isn't all that good but I'd definitely be siding with them...

Re: Frog-eater's Feast Friday

I'm thinking medium play on Volandri @ 1.40 over Boris
Possible Small play on Hidalgo @ 3.25 over Moya

Not all that confident on RRH obviously but I do think that Volandri will out last Boris. Having said that I thought Alberto Martin would have beaten him and he didn't, so I guess we'll see on that one.

Yesterday turned out to be a really good one for me and todays card does little to inspire me, so I think these will be my only plays. I'm not playing these but these are my leans -

Vliegen over Spadea
Ferrero over Starace
Murray over Soderling

But not enough confidence in any of them for a play to be worth it after yesterday.

Good luck to everyone with all your bets!

Re: Frog-eater's Feast Friday

hmmm, lju, I guess now I am posting losers day in day out! Hopefully a couple winners too.
Once again I really like Soderling on indoor hard...

adding
bet to win a unit on Grosjean (if this Korolev turns out to be the next Safin, so be it, but I'm betting his run is over)
bet to win 4 units on Soderling - I still don't believe the Murray hype, & Soderling just punished poo yesterday

gl all

Re: Frog-eater's Feast Friday

betting against murray, in my opinion, is always a dangerous one.....I think he is capable on his game of beating anybody, that;s not to say that you won't be right this time but I wouldn't ever put too many coins against him.....

If Murray serves well then he is the better player man. He has a good all court game and isn't a bad returner.

He couldn't beat Federer, Gonzalez or Ljubicic for starters. Anyone with a big serve and good all-court game he will rarely beat.
