2006 ATP Tennis Record: 16-4 (+$4117)
*All my plays are -199 (1.52) or better. No big favs.
I finally got my first win on the clay courts yesterday and it felt good. It also felt really good to go 3-1 having pick two underdogs to win and they did. Anyways, now it's on to more winning way on Wednesday. Good luck to all who decided to follow.
Zagreb (Round 2): Wednesday, February 1, 2006
Tim Henman +106 over Richard Gasquet ($300 to win $318)
What I really like to kick things off is that the oddsmaker and bookies have given up on old Timmy and this is probably the best spot to bet on him. Henman has looked just awful but losses to Haas and Tursunov aren't really that bad when you at the big picture of things. Both players have been good on this surface and both players are coming easy 1 Round wins. However, Henman mentioned yesterday that the courts are very fast and that he is loving it. He says that he got his full confidence back and that he is ready for anything Gasquet throws at him. Henman already has a win over Gasquet this year and if he can execute the same gameplan as he did last week, he should win this match. In their first encounter, Gasquet was frustrated and thrown off rythm by Henman. Gasquet kicked off the year losing his first three matches and only he knows if he is back to full health. Both players have been good on indoor hard surfaces over the last three years so this one is going to be based on instinct. Assuming this goes to three sets, Gasquet is 16-18 lifetime in 3 set matches while Henman is 33-22 in the last three years. This is going to be a classic that might head to tie-breaks but Tim's attitude is great this time around and it seems like Gasquet is vulnerable right now.
