Re: Tacky Tuesday

Saw Ferrer is 2nd seeded n Ancic is 5th,both these players will have problems facing theyre next opponents!!!Wawrinka has the goods to take out the 2nd seed while Tursunov has the guns n serve to go with Ancic!!!!

Re: Tacky Tuesday

Seriously thinking of puttin Tursunov over Ancic @ 2.48.

Tursunov is 2-1 head to head with Ancic including a carpet match at last years TMS Paris. This is a risky match but for 2.48 payoffs I think it is worth a shot especially since I'd giveTursunov at least 60% chance of winning. 60% chance at 2.48 payoffs looks pretty damn impressive. Both players are in great form and may be a tight match.

How is everyone feeling about this match?

Tursunov 2005: Compiled 6-9 record on hard, 6-3 on carpet, 4-3 on grass, 1-0 on clay

Ancic 2005: 25-15 on hard, 9-2 on grass, 6-5 on clay and 4-5 on carpet

No guts, no glory!

Re: Tacky Tuesday

Get whatever odds you can get on Wawrinka. Waiting for some to come out so I can play him!

Re: Tacky Tuesday

My bet for tomorrow morning:

Tursunov over Ancic @2.550 (semi-big play)

Tursunov is 2-1 head to head with Ancic including a carpet match at last years TMS Paris. This is a risky match but for 2.550 payoffs I think it is worth a shot especially since I'd give Tursunov at least 60-65% chance of winning. With a payoff of 2.550 and an impressive start to 2006 Tursunov is definitely a play. Both players are in great form and may be a tight match but I'd give the edge to Tursunov!

Other information that could be useful is Tursunov's carpet record last year. He had a slow start because of injury and didnt start picking up till later in the year. Ancic has an overall better record mainly because he's been able to get higher seeds in tournaments and knocks out the low rank journeymen . With that said, we see that Ancic's carpet record is only 4-5 which is strange.

Tursunov 2005: Compiled 6-9 record on hard, 6-3 on carpet, 4-3 on grass, 1-0 on clay

Ancic 2005: 25-15 on hard, 9-2 on grass, 6-5 on clay and 4-5 on carpet (mostly Davis cup against lesser opponents)

No guts, no glory!

Re: Tacky Tuesday

Ramirez-Hidalgo over Almagro @ +135 - $150 to win $204
Almagro is an extremely inconsistent headcase and puts together the same amount of wins in any tournament regardless of the level. He's shown he can lose in the first round of futures and defeat Safin in straight sets in a TMS tournament. Hidalgo won the most recent meeting and is always a fairly reliable third tier claycourt player. The odds are promising and I wouldn't be too upset if I'd lose this, however I'd give Hidalgo a 60-40 chance.

Re: Tacky Tuesday

Wawrinka over Ferrer @ $2.10

Looking at today's draw in all 3 tournaments, Wawrinka to win stood out for me. Wawrinka should take care of Ferrer in what should be a 3 setter. A 2 setter would be good though. Either way, Ferrer won't win!
