Ok, first post for the new season here (risky-looking treble, but nice odds considering the ask):
Gasquet + Verdasco + Stepanek @ 3.08 (Gamebookers)
Gasquet(1.44) v Andreev:
Sure Gasquet played badly against Henman last week, but in that match there were glimpses of brilliance that show why he is a class above most especially Andreev. More importantly he is free of pain, and has highlighted an improvement on serve this week. He'll look to win at least a match here heading into AO.
Verdasco(1.40) v Monaco:
Gift of a draw for Spaniard with Johansson pulling out. Monaco wins are rare on the tour and Verdasco won a slightly tougher match on Carpet towards back of end of season against Monaco. Always a risk with a player such as Verdasco as it depends how well he is striking the ball and error counts but considering opponent and withdrawal should be a win.
Stepanek(1.53) v Srichaphan:
Stepanek ended the year strongly and seems to have started in the same vein. Last year was one to forget for Paradorn and last week struggled in a tournament where he previously always did well. Stepanek's serve-volley and crafty play should have too much variety for the Thai who will try and dominate from the baseline which will be difficult considering his confidence and form.
Good luck everyone with their bets
