Monday in the US Open

Here are a few games which I think might present some value:

Jenkins to beat Bastl @ 2.20

Tojo @1.20

Bjorkman @1.28

Galimberti @ 1.50 (how can you resist that?)

Andreev @ 1.22

Mello @ 1.80

Berdych @ 1.25

I would put a big oneon Andreev & Galimberti...all the others, perhaps small parlays

Re: Monday in the US Open

Main bet:
Parlay Berdych (1.28) x Tojo (1.25) x Andreev (1.25) x Youzhny (1.44) pays just under 3.00

Big single on Soderling to beat Chela at 2.20

Couple of dogs I'm going for (small stakes):
Gambill to beat Massu 3.50
Young to beat Galimberti 2.50
Tipsarevic to beat Saulnier 2.50
Mello to beat Monaco 1.80

Re: Monday in the US Open

I haven't had a close look as yet, but on the face of it, goldstein to beat Guga paying $1.45 is a nice leg to have in any parlay.

Peer to beat Domachowska at $1.65 is also good odds, H2h 2-0 on hard court this year. However this is offset by the fact that Peer's GS record is abysmal. But she has been in good form thorughout 2005 coupled with the fact that the polish lass has struggled in the Nth American swing so far.

So far I got:

Gasquet x Peer x Goldstein = $2.60

Re: Monday in the US Open

Sorry just realised Goldstein is playing tomorrow - throw in ToJo to my parlay, gets me to $2.35

ToJo x Gasquet x Peer = $2.35 (8 units)

good luck

Re: Monday in the US Open

After losing 25 units at New Haven on Monday I'm hoping to get those back pretty quick.

My opening plays of the day are

10 units on Nicole Vaidisova/Flavia Pennetta over Kveta Peschke/Julia Schruff at $1.83
3 units on Jan Michael Gambill over Nicolas Massu at $3.00

Re: Monday in the US Open

After some initial research I have come up with the following for tonite:

Chela over Soderling @ 1.55
Tipsarevic over Saulnier @ 2.60
Mirza over Washington @ 1.30
Nakamura over Irvin @ 1.60
Vaidisova over Peschke @ 1.40 - This is my best bet for tonite!!

Leans for 2moro..Santoro, Verdasco, Beck & Jamea Jackson.

Re: Monday in the US Open

Everyone seems to be on Tipsarevic, I know Saulnier hasn't done too much this year, he is still a decent player on hardcourt and is against a very inexperienced player.

Saulnier to beat Tipsarevic, pays $1.50

I also think there is value in Hernych to beat Malisse, but only small play for me, pays $3.00

All the women prices are too short

Of course I will say to back my countrywoman but be a bit careful with Mirza this tournament, she has played a lot of matches over the past month and she has complained of some back problems in the Indian media last week.

But hope she wins and does well, hardcourt is easily best surface for her

Re: Monday in the US Open

keeping in mind the history of early rounds at slams, unless you are trading, it is best to avoid betting large %'s of your bank on the 50/50 matches that could likely go to 5 sets.

ie. Tipsarevic v Saulnier,

or the tiebreak-a-thons

ie. Fish v Karlovic

Back with plays later on.
