Tomic is for sure better player but the problem might be that it´s the first match of the year on clay for Tomic. Also his all time clay CV is not so impressive:
@ ATP 0-3
@ Challengers 0-5
@ ITF 3-3
For Istomin it´s:
@ ATP 18-19
@ Challengers 58-43
@ ITF 3-3
Young @3,2
Mathieu cannot be trusted with any odds, he is still building confidence and match fitness after a long injury break. I saw Young´s last match against Paire and he played some good tennis until he was serving 5-2 in the 2nd set TB when he just choke the match away. To me this looks like 50/50 match so it has to be taken.
Nieminen @2,4
I doubt that Stepanek has yet to overcome the heartbreaking loss to Tipsarevic at Davis Cup. It absolutely must have eaten the veteran player´s motivation to some extent. Also Jarkko already been training 4 days at MC seems positive about his chances himself http://jarkkonieminen.fi/blog.php?year=2012
Dolgopolov @1,9
Both Chela and Dolgo are struggling with form but I just feel that this bigger tournament will wake Dolgo back to his best. Also there seems to be something wrong with Chela; the guy who usually racks huge amount of ranking points at south american clay swing, did pretty much nothing this year. Chela is not getting any younger so maybe he is still feeling the effects of successfull but physically very tough last season.
I just wanted to write exactly the same exeget ;-) I have @1.85 on them
