Yup - it's cos his first serve return indoors is pretty poor, barely above top250 average.

Chardy over Fish @ 2.48

Loving the odds on this 50 - 50 match.

Re: Can't believe it's already Saturday - Saturday

Fish is always underestimated on this forum. However it is indeed a 50-50 match. The Frenchman will probably choke in the crucial moments if Fish plays his usual tactical game.

Re: Can't believe it's already Saturday - Saturday

Penny vs. Vee 2:1 @6.2 (set betting)

Flavia may be owning this place but thru the years she defeated here who? Not a single TOP 10 player, Acapulco is not the place where you would find real clay high society.
H2H? Fine BUT 1:0 in FINALS for Vee!
Williams lost in Paris last year - OK, and Moscow? Not really counting.
Vee current run is 19:1!!She has struggled in early rounds but its not easy to travel from Dubai and adapt from hard from day to day.
The main problem is that Williams' game doesn't suit for clay, on any other surface with her current form I can't see player that would beat her.Flavia on the other hand is faaaar away from her indoor-form couple months ago.
Penny knows how to play her therefor I cant resist this 6.2!!
Anyway Venus is still slight fav for me, above 1.6 and I would take her only coz I don't trust Pennetta's mentality, smart is not touching 22.5 games line as I saw somewhere 20.5!
But this is last match of the week so:
Over 22.5 games @1.8 this will be my most stupid play of the week
Penny +3.5 games @1.95

Fish - Chardy is interesting and I might go for the over again. Monfils is way too low against Almagro. If Monfils was around 1.80-1.85 I'd go for him but 1.60? That price sucks.

For now:

Djokovic & Venus @ 2.13

Korolev @ 1.72

Are the bookies in a charitable mode?

The career h2h is tied at 3-3 but Djokovic has absolutely clowned Ferrer on back to back occasions on similar hard courts. The 3 hour marathon match with Simon yesterday was grueling but Simon is a kind of guy that can give Nole much more fits than Ferrer. Ferrer has played his absolute best this week showing the tour that he may actually prefer this surface to the red clay. Ferrer obviously can trouble Djokovic if he simply does not miss but his firepower is limited and I think Nole will be too much. There will be some sun out there and the only hope Ferrer has is if Djokovic doesn't have much fuel left in the tank but thats about it. Another gift of a price on Novak IMO.

Jeremy Chardy 2.26 over Mardy Fish:

Chardy is probably the most underrated player on tour this year. The Frenchman has wins over the likes of Ferrer, Stepanek, Andreev, and Baghdatis and has pushed the likes of Djokovic and Tsonga to the limit. Fish's price is inflated here. Basically Fish sucks and we all know that and Chardy is an up and coming stud. Too much value to pass up.

Gael Monfils 1.6 over Nico Almagro.

Seriously, are French men raised to act like faggots and be the complete opposite of clutch?

No thread for Sunday - Sunday

I'm going with the yanks today, though the odds are pathetic and there's never a 100% guarantee. But I expect them to be the eventual winners. Not a big bet, because it'd be stupid. Korolev has showed good form coming in this final and the Bryans barely won their last match. But both parties have more experience than their opponents in big matches.

Fish & Bryan/Bryan @ 1.55

This asshole seems to be finally picking up a bit of form and had a useful win over Fagnini in R1. MVA is quite the fighter but I'm not sure what his form is like and he needed nearly 3 hours to get past the slumping Navarro.
If he loses here he's blacklisted.
