Re: This is the most ridiculous thing I have seen.....

This where I come into help my fine friends in here.

The World Sauna championship is basically an endurance test. It's whoever can sit in the sauna for the longest period of time is the winner.

The Sauna temperature to fight against is 110ºC, with half a liter of water thrown on the stove every 30 seconds to increase the steaming heat effect. Competitors have to sit in the Sauna with buttocks and thighs on the seat. Posture must be erect; elbows must stay on the knees and arms have to be in an upright position. Touching skin with hands or disturbing the other competitors is strictly forbidden. The competitor will have to leave the Sauna without outside help, otherwise the he/she will be disqualified. The last person to get out of the Sauna will be the World Sauna Champion.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I might put on a excess 15 kg's and enter next year, have a high tolerance for pain.

My motivation would be even higher If they posted me at 150-1 I would have a decent ping lol

The World mobile Phone throwing championships is quality, but not as good as the Air Guitar ones.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Over 3,000 spectators witness live the the Championship in Heinola and several TV channels from Sweden to China broadcasted the world's hottest event. The Sauna World Championships are also open for betting on-line with sports bookmakers Centrebet.
This is actually getting interesting.

Quote:
The men's title remained in Finland with the 16 minutes and 15 seconds world record
I would've thought they'd last longer than that.

This year, the Australia-based online betting agency Centrebet.com, the only betting outfit in the world that seems to handicap weird sports like futsal (sort of like soccer) and bandy (sort of like ice hockey), has listed Leo Pusa, a 57-year-old, three-time Sauna World Champion from Helsinki, as the odds-on favorite.
And I can not find any information on what the winners get.
