A sticky FAQ thread for the tennis betting forum might be useful because the same questions seem to pop up over and over again.
What do handicaps mean, what is laying, what are units, different retirement rules etc.

Sorry for the tardy response..only seeing this now

Sounds like a good idea, I'll try and get something up over the next week which covers a few areas.

Re: Gamblers Lounge - Suggestions

Can we get rid of the Tennis Live scores in the Tennis section?

my point of view that you need to browse to the subforum to see if there is new posts on the day's topic because there is always a post in the live scores that is newer than everything else

Main reason why the livescoring in the gamblers forums has been introduced is because of this

Setting up a challenge for next year would be cool.

This could be done in each subforum (Basketball, Soccer, NFL, whatever).
Some bookies might even donate something, ha!

Then we could finally get rid of those 30unit plays because the maximum stake would be 1unit.

Henry 3 months on and I obviously haven't done this as yet - you interested to put something together? Or we can leave it as an open blank thread and build on it as the questions are asked.

No difference to the v-cash system. Just a more fancy name.

haha. I've just seen this now. I have the tennis forum bookmarked and don't venture beyond too often.

I actually had some stuff in mind when I first thought of the idea but it's all gone but anyway, If I get time I'll put some basic stuff together in the next few weeks and PM you. If not, well I'll give you a definitive answer by then anyway.
The open thread idea could work too.

Actually, funnily enough there doesn't seem to have been as many enquiries so far this year. There'd been a real flurry of them when I first suggested it.

It would be cool if you guys put together a FAQ section related to tennis gambling. I have just gotten started and I'm not familiar with the jargon.

Things like...

What is a UNIT?

A treble (I already got the answer for that, but)

A fold?

What's the best site for tennis gambling?

Do you guys recommend sites like http://www.tennisbettingtips.com/?
