Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

Don't know about anyone else, don't care what you've got to say, but after this match I'm done as a Berdych fan. Done, done, done.

I suggest he either A. retire B. seek mental help

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

One of the biggest chokes in tennis history. 2 sets to love and now over, without so much as a fight. Unbelievably pathetic, words can't even describe it.

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

i was there and theres no way he 'choked'
he was playing so well in the first 2 sets no one would have beaten him, and it was impossible to keep playing like that
and you musn't forget it was federer, who really picked up his form, and once he got a sniff, ran with it...
i was happy with how well tomas played and think it shows good signs for the rest of the year

Let's not do this

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

Yeh great signs I reckon, signs that he's a mental case and has zero mental strength.

How about that almighty showing in the 7th game of the 3rd. Up 40-15, some great tennis thereafter. That was really all Roger though, his level rasised so much there was nothing the strong Berdych could do......

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

Davodus, he did miss some easy balls to go up a break in the 3rd IIRC. I'll stick around nevertheless, he's a pleasure to watch. It should all come together at one point or another.

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

he did, but it wasn't a huge huge choke...not like he was up a break and served for it before losing
he should have won, i think, but i wouldn't say this is one of the worst chokes in tennis history

i actually thought he was still playing quite well in the 4th set, but got unlucky with the hawkeye situation that got in his head for a bit

Let's not do this

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

Sure it was no choke..

End of 3rd set you could see already his injury, in the movement... and then it went worst.

@langers: Tomas doesn´t need fans like you!!! so we really don´t care if you´re still a fan or not

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

What is with people saying Tomas choked? Tomas would have crushed any opposition not named Federer. I hope he breaks the top 10. There are currently too many mediocre players in the top 10.

That's sort of a point. It shouldn't matter if it's Federer or not. He certainly showed the game that crushed even Federer before that. I'm extremely sad for this loss, though needless to say the indignant rage Langers style is ridiculous.

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

I left after he got broken in the seventh game in the third set. I kinda knew the match was over after that.

Good Luck

Tomas Richard
Stanislas Milos Federico

*Gaston* *Ivan*
*Juan Carlos* *David N.*

Re: The Tomas Cheering Thread

Tomas' quarter in Rotterdam

(1) NADAL, Rafael ESP v BOLELLI, Simone ITA
(WC) DIMITROV, Grigor BUL v BERDYCH, Tomas CZE
QUALIFIER v TURSUNOV, Dmitry RUS
(WC) HUTA GALUNG, Jesse NED v (7) TSONGA, Jo-Wilfried FRA

Not the kindest draw, but hoping for the best
