Hello

I've been reading posts on MTF for a long time now (3-4 years) without ever creating an account or posting, but I'm currently procrastinating right now so I figured I should post a bit. I used to post a lot on a different forum so maybe I'm just getting back into the whole posting on a forum thing.

I pretty much started watching tennis around 2006 when I first saw Federer play. Man, that was the good old days when it was easy being his fan. I still root for him primarily these days, although I'd say I'm a very realistic Federer fan. Still doesn't make it any easier when I see him lose, but I'm accepting of it and am generally happy just to see him play. I do like watching Djokovic-Nadal matches just because they can go for long rallies (people say it's boring sometimes) but I like them just because I'm not pulling for a winner between the two of them and I am fascinated by their extreme level of fitness.

Used to play tennis a bit in middle school but I got lazy and never joined the high school team. I do regret that just because nowadays I do have urges to play but I'm terrible at it haha. I like playing basketball more, so I primarily follow professional tennis and NBA.

Hope I get along with everyone!

Re: Hello

Hey welcome. Most people here are Federer fans, so I'm sure you'll fit right in.

While 2006 was awesome, it's good to have some struggles as a fan. Even now, the things that Federer achieves is multiplied given his age of 32. Most players would retire by now, or be completely useless. I doubt our current world #1 would play even at 30, let alone 32.

World #1.
.

Federer, Murray, and Wawrinka
