Re: The official Nico Lapentti's cheering thread!

Watched Nico beat Michael Berrer earlier today. He started out pretty badly and promptly lost the first set but then as the match went on he started playing really well and eventually took control completely in the third set. It's always such a joy to watch him as his strokes are very stylish and powerful. Looking forward to tomorrow's match against Benneteau.

Thanks for sharing.

He had a slow start today too, but he has already recovered as his match is 4*-5 right now coming from 0*-5

Even though the good recovery, Benneteau still won 6-4, 6-2.
Lucky loser again as a b-day present?

Re: The official Nico Lapentti's cheering thread!

I've been really busy here in Montreal since my last post hence no updates.

I was at Nico's Sunday match against Benneteau. That comeback from 0 - 5 love down was magnificent even by Nico standards. Too bad about the two following sets though. Still a good overall performance and as always, such a joy to watch.

After that, I was lucky to see Nico practise yesterday and twice today. He's basically everywhere I looked, working very hard. Not surprising since he's got the QF points to defend in Cincy. I have lots of photos and two vids and will post them as soon as I'm back home from the tournament and get organized.

Re: The official Nico Lapentti's cheering thread!

Seems like Nico wants to maintain his position at the list of most 5-setters won.

Another tweet from Murray mentioning Nico:

Where is this place?
Anyone who dares to tweet that?

Re: The official Nico Lapentti's cheering thread!

Exactly my thought
That's not helping to become the player with the most won 5-setters of all time.

Re: The official Nico Lapentti's cheering thread!

I hope so too, but I think he will.
He said that he would decide after DC if he was still motivated to play, but after that win ( ) I guess he's more motivated than ever.
