Re: US OPEN: Welcome to the Jungle

I think I may know why they were taking a bus rather than the regular vans. And why all the guys were done practicing at 5:00 - that usually doesn't happen. And why Nico practiced for 2 hours straight rather than breaking his practices up into 2 one hour practices as usual.

Pat Mac and Chris Fowler were talking about a player meeting they had last night. They honored Andre - the guys gave him a 2 minute standing ovation. And a gift - a really expensive bottle of wine. And one of the things Andre told the guys was to be kind to each other and kind to the sport.

Of course, just speculating.

Re: US OPEN: Welcome to the Jungle

I'm really bummed that Nico is playing tomorrow - and first no less. I think he'll win, but if a disaster happens, and he doesn't, that means I have all these tickets until the following Monday for the US Open and won't see Nico.

So he must win!!!!

Re: US OPEN: Welcome to the Jungle

Just got back from Practice Day at the USO - not much of a practice day since its raining.

The only one I really saw practicing was Coria - who practiced in the rain. And the women who also didn't seem to mind practicing in the rain.

I finally gave up and came home.

Its raining harder now - so don't know if Nico will be able to get a practice in at all today.

Of course, Sanguinetti couldn't practice either so they'll both be in the same situation with no practice. And Nico had a lot more match play last week so that will help him too.

I don't know why the two chicos aren't playing together. I definitely know its not because they are fighting. They were all smiley and laughing together in Toronto. I don't care what the reason is - I just want them to play doubles together - they are just absolutely so adorable when they play doubles together. You just want to hug them both.

New Rule! From now on, Nico and Fernando MUST play doubles together all the time.

I never heard of Vico either.

I don't know what type of player Ivan is in doubles normally - but watched him and Fer G in doubles in Toronto, and really wasn't impressed with his doubles play.
