Well not a bad draw. Sanguinetti can be tough sometimes but it's no Rafa or Roger. Many thanks your draw makers!

Re: US OPEN: Welcome to the Jungle

I watched Nico practice today. Yeay! He was on a really sucky court though - made taking pictures very difficult - had to take them through a 4 inch opening in the fence. I'll put them up tonight or tomorrow. I don't understand why he was practicing there today - it was on the courts outside of the grounds. They must have signed up really late for courts today. He practiced for an hour with some guy I recognized but have no idea what his name is. And then worked on drills with Gaby for almost an hour.

Hopefully tomorrow he'll be on a regular court.

He looked good! Hitting the ball nicely.

Unfortunately though he was practicing with a shirt on. That sucked too.

I saw him leave the grounds just a little before 5:00 - I had just watched Lord Carlos and was about to leave when I saw Nico come out of the player's area in AA. He looked great! He was wearing a pretty blue Adidas jacket - he had his bag over his shoulder that hid part of the writing but I think it must have said CLUB Adidas. And dark sweats. I was a little confused because I always thought the guys were shuttled back to their hotels from the parking area at AA. I'm not interested in autographs and things like that so never really paid attention to that stuff. Anyway I was like - he can't be practicing again, and not in that outfit. So embarrassing I followed - I was curious. And learned something new. The guys leave I guess through the park area - there were big buses. Saw Gaston go through the gate just a few minutes after Nico. Poor guys - slumming it - usually at other tournaments they get to take the nice Mercedes vans back and forth from the tournament grounds to their hotels. And there they are here in a bus.
