Re: Oh Canada!!! Mastering Montreal

Does anyone know why Kiefer retired against James in LA?

He didn't play DC either.

And I read on his forum that he was going to the doctor in Montreal.

Re: Oh Canada!!! Mastering Montreal

Kiefer had a virus - respiratory illness. Bad enough to knock him out of DC too.

I'm sure that he's fine now, but maybe he hasn't been able to practice a lot.

Buena suerte NICO!!!

Re: Oh Canada!!! Mastering Montreal

I got this off Kiefer's forum - hope they don't come over here and yell at me for ripping off their translation. lol! Its originally from Kiefer's site and they translated it.

Kiefer sounds psyched to meet up with Nico - but hopefully Nico will be just as psyched to beat him for a second time!!

VAMOS NICO!!!

Die US Open nahen...

The US Open is coming...
The voice was still a little hoarse, the throat still scratchy, the legs however on their way to top form. The cold virus has been mostly overcome. I can think of tennis once again. Someone should strangle whoever invented air conditioning... Two weeks in the US of rapid changes between (inner) cold and (external) heat - meaning the thermostat, not my emotions - knocked me off my feet (NB: this is not a direct translation!). Now I've freed myself from its clutches and am ready for battle.
This means a meeting in the first round at Montreal with the man, over whom I have shed many tears... Nicolas Massu, the Chilean from the Olympic doubles final. I have not yet had any "singles experience" against him. I hope it will be a positive one...
The US Open is getting near, the tournament to which I am already looking forward. Montreal and Cincinatti however are a lot more than merely warmup tournaments. Both are worth a lot of points. For me above all for match practice and because I would once again like to experience the sweet smell of success..

Bis bald - Euer KIWI
