Re: Kicking A*s in Amersfoort!

They didn't get in the boys doubles match today. I don't know German but I think one of these must mean "to be determined": Nog te bepalen, Na voldoende rust

Singles:

Center Court - aanvang 12:00
David Sanchez (ES) tegen Nicolas Massu (CL)
Daniele Bracciali (IT) tegen Fernando Gonzalez (CL)
Melle van Gemerden (NL) tegen Agustin Calleri (AR)
Mariano Puerta (AR) tegen Ivo Minar (CZ)

Doubles:

Court 1- aanvang 12:00
Martin Garcia (AR) / Luis Horna (PE) tegen David Skoch / Jiri Vanek (CZ)

Nog te bepalen
Na voldoende rust
Fernando Gonzalez / Nicolas Massu (CL) tegen Nicolas Lapentti (EC) / Alex Lopez Moron (ES)
Jean-Francois Bachelot / Julien Benneteau (FR) tegen Daniele Bracciali / Giorgio Galimberti (IT)

It means "matches still to be scheduled after a sufficient rest period" - hope that helps.

Re: Kicking A*s in Amersfoort!

Nico lost 3-6, 6-4, 3-6.

Poor Nico.

Love you NICO!!!

He's got to do something here.

He can't keep losing or he's going to be in such a hole ranking wise. This is the one tournament that I thought he didn't have to worry about losing ground on points, and he just got a hit points wise.

Next week he'll really lose ground in Kitzbuhel.

What a nightmare.

Re: Kicking A*s in Amersfoort!

I can't believe that Nico loses with a player like Sanchez!

I'm sad!

That's what makes these losses so hard. Sanchez is not a good player, Nico should have been able to win this match in his sleep.

He's got to do something. Hire an interium coach until Gaby comes on, something.

Because obviously he can't do it on his own.

Poor Nico - except for the Olympics, bad things happen to him all the time.

Love you sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't worry about points and rankings - they will come back in time - trust me I know this from David's situation last year when he missed half the season through injury. When people are coming back from a long injury/illness they do have weird results like this - they win one and then they lose one, often losing to people you would not expect to beat them. It's just a case of finding their match fitness, their concentration and their focus again after such a long layoff, and generally that is something they have to do for themselves - a coach can't really help them because it's almost a "growing up" process or perhaps like a rehabilitation from an accident or illness - they have to do it on their own to "find themselves" again - and all fans can do is just support them through it and try not to get too sad when things go wrong.
