lol! After I read it, I thought people will think I'm a big mean person.
But he was out most of the beginning of the season and couldn't practice, and then he just took 2 weeks off before Wimbledon and really didn't practice much - did the TV thing in Chile where he was on every show.
I think - and I'm speculating based on what he has said - that coming back was a lot tougher than he thought. I think that he thought that he would start doing better much more quickly. And I think he got very very discouraged about it. I think going back to Chile before Wimbledon, he just wanted to get away from everything. But based on what he said yesterday, he said that he has to confront improving again. Again though, I'm speculating.
And the only way for him to improve again is by working hard and getting back on court - and getting in match time.
So he knows, and I was just saying with him that its time for him to work through his problems on court - which he is usually good about...he loves working out and is a super hard worker. He'll do it!!!!!!!!!!! And he'll be fine during the summer clay season. They said he played very well yesterday - it was just the surface and Gimelstob's serve that did him in.
